For example Pwad he has a beat box style even though his beat box doesn't match up to other professional beat boxers, but still hearing him doing his thing is cool af. Because he has an unique style.

The judges definitely are skilled beatboxers. The blond one who appeared a lot is Napom, the former GBB champ 2017. You DEFINITELY should check him. And the 2nd place guy on this video is Dlow, the current champion. Another monster you should check out also.

i got mad respect for people that can hold that throat base. i've been doing beatboxing for about 2 years. and can only manage to hold maybe 1-3 mins of a sentence of throat base. but these guys are a whole new level.

I have to say that GBB 2019 stepped up the beatboxing game. It is the best year so far so I'd recommend watching a couple involving D-Low or loopstation battles :D

You guys should definately check out more beatboxing stuff. Codfish uses alot of bass combined with singing. There's so many talented beatboxers with different unique styles to see, I'm following the scene online since 5 years now and they keep getting better and better.

So, many of the songs he sings are already popular songs by other artists, some however, are by him. He's a youtuber as well, and has a lot of subscribers (over 1 mil i think). The one part will he went super fast and made laser gun noises was due to the performer before him, he got in Codfish's face and attempted to make laser sounds but failed in comparison. Also, yes there are team battles. One of the judges, the one who seemed most expressive, goes by Napom and he went solo against a team and still won. The judges are former winners of beatbox championships btw.

the reason why codfish in the semi final started so fast paced the way he did is because the other guy said he wanted a battle and did that really complex whistle and the judges were surprised because codfish hit him straight back with it

I always did love Codfish. In the semi-finals, the reason he went more technical and less melodic is because his opponent Bataco called him out and said that he wanted a battle. So codfish replicated his sounds like the pew, and threw em right back before going into no-diggity and then finished it with a nice technical mash. Personally, I feel like Codfish is one of the best melodic and vocal beatboxers.

Yeah the grand beatbox battles, hosted by swissbeatbox, also host: aside from solo 1v1 battles, tag team battles (2v2), loopstation battles (loop vs loop), 7 to smoke battles (1v1 1 round each, 7 people, first person to 7 wins, wins), tag team loopstation (newly added for gbb 2020; the next gbb), and crew battles (newly added for gbb 2020; these battles have more than two people vs more than two people).

Beatboxing has evolves SOOO much even in just the last 5 years or so and it is so amazing! I highly suggest checking out Tomazacre or D-low (or really anybody) I would suggest watching some battles and some compilations so to get a good feel for the battles
