black neons have an amazing lifespan, i have one that is over 5 years old.

when you see them at a store, the black neon tetra don't look impressive. when you take them home and they color up, you realize they are impressive looking fish

Nice seeing fish in a proper enclosure where they can swim a bit. I hate small tanks, it’s just wrong to trap animals in horrible situations. Like taking a birds gift of flight and stuffing them in a cage
