One thing I like is that the version played in _The Hunger Games_ is noticeably different from the original version. This version is slower, more syncopated, and has an organic sense of soul; the version in _The Hunger Games_ is faster and has a more regular, synthesized feel, sort of an "NPR meets casino" vibe, which fits perfectly with Capitol aesthetic.

This song raised my Black Fist out of LOVE and PRIDE, not hate and fear. I first saw this ensemble back in 2004 in New Orleans playing on a street corner in the French Quarter. Bought a CD from them. I was watching the Hungry Games and heard this song. I immediately knew where this great song came from. Made me instantly like the movie more and remember the great music of this awesome ensemble.

They were playing at MaiJazz yesterday (saturday). I never heard them before and god damnit! They were awesome! They told the crowd to get low in a smooth way, and they pulled in the crowd in their songs. The concert was great! Great soloes and especially the drumming solo. That experience was so cool :)
