@nedanother938210 ай бұрын
I'm curious as to which part you saw "the lesson" ....I do a lot of therapy (brain stuff) which includes a second cousin I'd say to Hypnotism. I do EMDR therapy. I believe its the leading ptsd therapy. I don't see the techniques hypnotists use to get you deep in your head. They seem to differ from my therapy but take you to a state of mind that is deep in your own head. At that point a protocol is applied. Seems the same only different. Off topic Scientology uses the exact same method to gain access to the deep part of a persons brain. to be sure either method is very dangerous as in that state you can be easily brainwashed to truly believe anything. In the wrong hands you can wreck/or make someone into a senseless droid void of feeling (scientology). Under a doctors care the "reprograming" of "Eye Movement Desensitization Reprograming (EMDR) - you are desensitized to a traumatic event and reprogramed to a positive opposite emotion from what was left after the trauma. A lesson in brain crap you may not have been interested in. The curiosity is that hypno seems to be so similar....I just can't figure it out. Thanks for the thought. I also see therapy support in the weirdest places Peace to you - have a great holiday.

I like how you explain hypnosis. 1: if someone says “you can’t hypnotize me, they are right.. Hypnosis is a personal choice. One cannot be hypnotized against their will. But one can use it to change their own life. It does it work, yes. I had a friend that was a smoker and pot head. He knew it was getting in the way of his life. A hypnotist came to our school and he was randomly called to participate. They asked each participant what would make them a better person. NOT what would you like to change about yourself. My friend said “I love weed, but my life would be better if I didn’t smoke”. After that session, he never smoked weed or cigarettes again. He always laughed about not even wanting to quit, just that he couldn’t smoke anymore. This gets better. I was voted in high school least likely to quit smoking. I always made this joke that I would love to be a non smoker, but I would never quit. A decade later, I was watching TV and saw a hypnotist on a magic show, which reminded me of the above story. That night I got very sick and slept for 4 days - waking up for very little over those 4 days. All this time, I couldn’t stop thinking about this magic show and my friend a decade before. After 4 days, I myself was a non-smoker. That was 25 years ago and I am still a non-smoker.
@attk17710 ай бұрын
I went to a hypnosis to quit smoking. I left the session and directly lighted one up, it didnt help at all. One week later they tried it again and it again didnt work. At that point I paid 300 bucks and was pissed as hell, so I was commited at that point, went and bought nicotine bubblegum and patches and quit smoking for good
@luc1ferblack10 ай бұрын
Yes and no. There is an induction that is extremely fast to the point you don't know what is going on and will be hypnotised regardless. It works by tricking someone's mind basically putting it into shock allowing direct access straight away. It works by doing something specific to them and is something they have done a million times before but when you do it you suddenly change what's happening this confuses them and their brain waits for further information to understand what's going on that's when they are highly susceptible and can be put under.

It's partially true. However some people who are willing to be hypnotized still have extreme difficulty being hypnotized (or even impossible), so while it's true that you can't go against your will, some people just can't seem to go at all.

22:58 "Hypnosis is not about being dumb. It's about being smart. The smarter you are, the easier it is to be hypnotized. You have a strong mind, not a weak mind. The only reason this wouldn't work is if you're a dummy, but you guys are very smart." This is B.S. that every hypnotist tells their subjects. It encourages them to want to play along, because they don't want to get called a dummy afterwards if they don't go along with it.

Not trying to spread negativity or smth here, but in my case, most of this stemed from crap that happened in the past AND ADHD. So if you've been struggling with depression and anxiety for a while and sometimes without clear causes or feel stuck in life, it is also important to check out if smth might be causing it. Could be ADHD like for me (dopamine and noradrenaline deficiency that won't fix itself) or other stuff like vitamin deficiencies, needs not being met, shitty childhood or family situation, poverty, thyroid issues, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, not going outside or out with other people much (lack of socializing), sleep apnea and heck, even GERD, IBS and more stuff. Stay safe and take care and hope you might get checked etc. In some cases, we really do need help and get other stuff treated and figured out first before it can get better, sadly ;) Gonna start my treatment in a week and hope it works out

Max, i was just brought to tears of wonder watching this. I'm not sure if you somehow planned this but I for some reason decided to play along with the card guessing for the first time while watching these and I legitimately guessed 6 of hearts. It almost feels as though it was off by 1 because it was 6 of hearts for the viewers or because I guessed 6 of hearts.... How did you learn to master this and is it possible my mind influenced the video? I can't help but feel like you were introduced into my life for something meaningful. Potentially to point me towards my next step. This almost feels like the next synchronous step in a long spiritual journey of learning that I've been on recently. Thanks for the great content. The Kai stream was hilarious. I also want to add I hate how egotistical it sounds that I think I may have influenced or somehow knew that the card was a 6 of hearts. But I truly did and when I saw that card turn over when it should have been a 5 of hearts. I was already surprised it was so close. I would love to pick your brain about certain topics but I understand you must be busy. There is too much I want to say to ever fit in here. My mind was actually blown.

The most impressive thing is that thus guy is able to to maintain control and do all of these rapid inductions safely and taking hood care of these guys, mike in particular, with the loud, obnoxious, interfering, main character syndrome-having clown that kept interfering and interrupting pain in the ass that wouldn’t stop being a clown. It’s not easy to maintain control and recognize that you’re giving suggestions that are being received when you’re alone in a quiet controlled space. To do it surrounded by loud uncooperative people interfering. Thus guy is leaving people with positive suggestions that can actually help them to improve themselves. Good stuff.

I'm a professional hypnotherapist and I LOVE these videos. Hypnosis is real. Everything this man is doing is real. I get to use this power for therapeutic purposes in a clinical setting. As was demonstrated in this video, no one can be hypnotized who doesn't want to be. So if your purpose is to prove that it's not real YOU have decided that it won't work for you.

Do you think its possible to be hypnotized even if you dont directly say you want to be? Could it just be certain types of people are more susceptible to it than others? which leads me to my next question - do you think the main stream media is doing some sort of hypnotism on us? Everything this guy said in the video basically describes how the media is pushed on us.. even modern advertising seems very similar to how hypnotism works (at least from my ignorant point of view)
@Pax_Mayn3Ай бұрын
That's because I have internal dialogue, I always decide everything I do. If I decide to do something, it's because I decided it, if someone else suggests something to me and I act on it, i'm still the one who decided to do it. I think it only works on people who aren't fully aware and grounded. They don't even know why they do the things they do, so they think it's because of the hypnotism when it's just their own choice. People susceptible to propaganda and peer pressure are probably the types that it works on, the same people who were hoarding toilet paper because the news told them to. Those types of people don't think for themselves, they need someone else to tell them what to do. I can watch myself fall asleep and stay conscious and aware as I transition into a dream. No chance this would work on me, i've tried it a few times.

The best example to show how it works is to give a non-alcoholic drink to a person under 10 but to tell them it's an alcoholic drink and when they drink it they'll be drunk, they'll be manipulated into thinking they are drunk, but obviously you and I know they aren't. They will start walking around and stumbling and mumbling and slurring words, they'll mimic how they think a drunk person acts. Hypnotism is the exact same thing.

You sir are an amazing Hypnotist, thank you for that beautiful display of skills! My guesses on techniques used: Trick one: face recognition. Trick 2: blood flow knuckles. Trick 3: kind of reverse priming force, then magicians choice. Trick 4: using 3, then hot reading (or cold, but that would be crazy). 5: Same as 3, crowd control. 6: a beautiful display of hypnosis. 7: Suggestion, cold reading, prop (or choice of video cut). 8: biomechanics, followed by another beautiful display of hypnosis. Last guy actually slightly broke the suggestion by almost falling :D There is still a bit of room up with the mentalism street magic tricks, but that doesn´t take away from it at all, your mentalism skills are very applaudable!

Seeing the one guy at 27:30 who wouldn't or couldn't "go under" reminded me of a hypno show I attended at Austin's Laff Stop; the performer had set up a row of eight chairs across the stage and he promptly called up 8 volunteers, set them down, and one by one quickly hypnotize them all. As he proceeded with the show, however, something seemed a bit off. One of the volunteers was muttering a lot and kind of looking around and generally being a distraction. Finally the hypno turned to him and said "Hey dude, it's okay if you aren't hypnotized, but don't stay up here trying to pretend. Go on back to your seat so we can do this show right. Thank you very much." The guy sheepishly got up and meandered off to his seat and the show went on. A few minutes later, however, there was again a ruckus; you could hear somebody in the rear of the venue heckling, getting in people's faces and knocking over drinks. At this point, the hypno was getting really tired of people messing up his show, but he attempted to soldier on... until finally a very loud yell came from the back of the venue. A voice yelled "Hey, mister hypnotist! This dude is totally out of it! He's doing everything you're telling those other people to do and he's driving us insane back here -- could you come over and undo him or something?!?" The hypno said some magic words or gestured hypnotically or something and released the poor dude from his spell, and the rest of the show went on as planned. The hypno was quite good and the show was really amazing, but what absolutely got me hooked -- and completely convinced me that this was a no-bullshit deal -- was that poor "is he or isn't ha" fella, who must have gone home that night very, very confused, wondering whether or not he had had a good time on his night out!

You only know that a dream is a dream when you wake up, before that it's your own reality. Even when you're lucid dreaming you can't leave that place unless you wake up. I've had sleep paralysis since childhood at least 3 times a week if not every day, and even knowing it was sleep paralysis didn't make the experience any less real (and terrifying). The human mind is more powerful than people think, we just have to learn how to control it, which is not easy but it's possible. Meditation is a type of self-hypnosis (accessing and controlling one's subconscious), sleep paralysis is different but not that far from what I explained. Hypnosis is real, otherwise hypnotherapy would not be considered a valid type of therapy. Controversial, yes, but definitely not fake.
