I first heard about Hypocrisy when I heard Roswell 47 on a compilation cd called death is just the beginning, I think it was part 3. I remember reading in Kerrang, or Terrorizer, or some metal magazine in about 1997 when The final chapter was released that it would be their last and they were going to split up and go their own ways.. I was as heartbroken. I am very glad they kept going through the shit, to be who and where they are now. I can happily say I have been a fan for about 28 years. Rock on guys, and thank you so much for the music!

And the legends goes on. You just add another decade, amazing and thanks for that. Well, it seems like with art you have always a hell of a ride. I only did little film-scores, nothing so impressive like you too, I am more in other "art-stuff" and I am just feeling completly the downside of it. I had to build it up slowly next to "normal jobs" and yesterday I got a terrible message of a finance crash, and all not, because I used the money for things I would not need. All the L-down and the energy-prices are eating me from the inside right now. I am feeling like the biggest loser on this planet right now, knowing that I worked hard until now. I am disappointed and very sad and at the moment I have no idea what my next move is. I have often the feeling, that I have to fight for every little thing and I am getting tired of it. I am a "one-woman-show", who has not a lot energy at the moment. Such documentary always help to see, you are not the only one, although as I said at the moment it feels like hell opened to me. I also have the feeling that a lot are laughing at me now with the words "we told you so". Anyway, nothing you can to about it. Thank you guys.

@@Derazed85 Virus is really good, but I also like Fourth Dimension, Final Chapter, Abducted, the Abyss, Hypocrisy, and Arrival. Aside from the Catch 22 I thought that Hypocrisy was releasing 1 great album after another . Fourth Dimension was my introduction to the band in 1995 , and I bought every new album as they came out, Catch 22 was a big letdown, but I will pick up the reissue. I didn't know that it was actually different from the original. I generally avoid reissues because most of the time they are just the same album with rough studio takes of the same material as bonus tracks ( Sepultura - Schizophrenia etc) . I did like the early Cannibal Corpse, and Death reissues because the originals were recorded at such a low volume level that I had to listen to them with my stereo all the way up to decipher the music on the originals. Hypocrisy albums were already mixed loud enough, and due to the fact remastering is generally cleaner and louder, I was concerned that the Hypocrisy albums would just sound synthesized and clicky like most modern Death Metal Albums seem to be.
@Derazed852 жыл бұрын
@@godetonter4764 Well, Peter said in an interview that he re-recorded the vocals because the original vocals didn´t made the songs justice, it really is a heavy album. And I agree with him. The new version is way more aggressive.

Guys with incredible ease and enthusiasm talk about their simple (and DIFFICULT!) the life of a metal musician, about such things that bring them closer to ordinary people and you stop treating them as supernatural beings and realize that standing on stage is also hard work and you need incredible willpower and patience to survive all this shit and stay on trend, at the same time remaining yourself and to continue, to continue to plow, in spite of everything. Saw Hypocrisy live for the first time at the Nuclear Blast Festival, at Tivoli venue in Utrecht, The Netherlands with labelmates Meshuggah, Dismember, Amorphis and Benediction in '94 at the humble age of 16.. I remember the place was packed, stagediving and moshing people without end. A security guy handled a fan during Hypocrisy in an agressive manner, Peter saw it and stopped the music to give the douchebag an outrage, stating he had to stop mistreating his fans.. In reaction the crowd boo'ed him and presented him hundreds of middlefingers simultaneously! So cool! I lost my toenail when a fat dude jumped offstage and planted his millitairy boot right on my foot.. I ripped my sock apart and wrapped it around my heavily bleeding toe, put my shoe back on and continued moshing.. Bleeding for satan! Still a fan up untill this day, Hail Hypocrisy!🤘
