I fucking love this band. I saw them 2 days before this show in Greensboro and it was fucking awesome. This is the exact song list when I saw them. Peter is the most underrated Death Metal singer. His growls are amazing. Not bad for a 50 yr old man.

I guess more a bit outdated, then underrated. They headlined festivals in europe 20 years ago. Around Millenium was their peak, i guess it just was the peak for melo death itself around that time and hypocrisy was on top of that genre. They still are.

@@antares4975 Hypocrisy is beyond Melo Death. They were both Heavier and more melodic as well as any other bands like In Flames etc. Peter could really sing, and he did Black, and Death Metal, the songs were strange, atmospheric, and bleak like the subject matter. They should be considered a totally different subgenre. No one else captured the sound of how alien abduction would actually feel. They did straight up Death Metal songs, Pink Floyd type ballads, Black Metal songs as well as some Melodeath tracks. From 1996 - 2002 they were 1 of the most interesting bands on the planet. With Virus they began a more straight ahead Melo Death style

@@godetonter4764 Virus has one straight up Melodeath song - Fearless. Songs like Warpath, Blooddrenched, Carving for another killing sound more like Bloodbath, DM ballad - A thousand lies, also they did more modern death metal style songs with Compulsive Psychosis and Let the Knife to the talking. Wouldnt really say that all the albums after virus are any different, Hypocrisy has 3 types of songs, fast, slow and mid tempo straight up melodeath. A Taste of Extreme divinity is by far the most "melodeath" album by Hypocrisy in the Horgh era.
