@@drrajsree yes, agree. Thank you so much for your efgort to lay out the situation. However ... what has csused this thyriod dysfunction? How and why is this possibly happening? We are not created to succomb to our bodies not being able to fight off antibodies ... we should be able thru our autoimune God-given system to isolate and destroy death seeking invaders on our immune and well-being, survival results. Greetings from London Dr Nambudripad! Thank you for this video, i like the new style of moving from you presenting from your office to the slides, this keeps you as the expert/ teacher/ advisor central and thus yhe video personable. The lecture is thorough + easy to comprehend. Your supplements recommendations are great even if we cannot purchase them, and your shop information sheets are very helpful for finding close or matching supplements here in UK, the references and explanatory detail help with contextual understanding too. Advice on blood test prep (off biotin) is helpful too as Drs here can be a neglectful with this aspect when very busy or just on the phone (drs here have become call centre operators).

great video; helpful and informative. why no mention of TG ab? My TPO is 200, but my TG is about 1800. What does TG ab imply?
@drrajsree6 ай бұрын
Thyroglobulin antibodies are present in many healthy people, so it's not an antibody to diagnose autoimmune thyroid disease. It's often used by endocrinologists to follow patients after thyroid surgery for thyroid cancer to ensure there is no cancer recurrence (a way of detecting thyroid cells).

Interesting! How to manage Hashimoto's and MCAS simultaneously would be tremendously helpful! It's hard to figure out my daily schedule of meds/vitamins/meals :) Thanks!!
@qingdaogrrl8 ай бұрын
It's so weird. I have zero symptoms of Hashimoto's, but the labs showed I have it. But only labs done in December and February, not ever before in my entire life. Dealing with mold detox and MCAS, so maybe once those are "fixed" the thyroid can fix itself? I only just started taking meds this week. And coincidentally, this week my hair started coming out in clumps, so I finally have one symptom! Thanks again for posting such helpful info.

Great video !!! How about corn or oats? In sources claim they are ok, some say they should be avoided.
@drrajsree8 ай бұрын
A lot of people who react to gluten also react to corn and oats. These are definitely in a gray zone and everyone is different. Processed corn products may be more inflammatory than whole organic corn. Oat milk is not recommended as it is high glycemic index. Oats are also high in pesticides so organic only would be recommended.

Ma'am, I have a history of hypothyroidism with TPO antibody >600. My TSH in March 2024 was 0.016 and has reached 5.12 now. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and my doctor checked my TSH level during week 13 and put me on levothyroxine. But I'm not convinced with her approach

I apologize I can't advise you here. It's important that hypothyroidism be treated properly during pregnancy for proper development of the fetus. You might also like my video on Hashimoto's which goes over diet tips that may help reduce your TPO Ab.

Do you know people that have gotten completely off levothyroxin & been able to manage thier thyroid? & is too much probiotics bad or maybe it was a coincidence for me but when i ran out 2weeks ago ive been having at least 1 bm regularly
@drrajsree6 ай бұрын
Very few are able to do this, but I have seen it before. If you need medication to feel optimal, then I recommend continuing because the thyroid is like the thermostat of your body. Please discuss with your doctor as well.

if someone has low end thyroid (but still in reference range) can taking t4 tablets increase motility of the small intestine and gi tract?
@drrajsree7 ай бұрын
Since thyroid hormones influence gut motility, taking supplemental T4 should improve GI motility provided there is no problems converting T4 to T3.

Hello Doctor! 👋 I’m taking levothyroxine for a year now. Started from 75mcg, down to 50mcg and now down to 25mcg. Don’t know what I have because my doctor never told me anything. The 1st doctor (male) said I have nodules on both sides of my thyroid. Can levothyroxine heal this nodules? Or is there another medication for this?
@drrajsree8 ай бұрын
Nodules are usually benign growths in the thyroid. The thyroid medication levothyroxine wouldn't shrink the nodules. But supporting the thyroid with diet and the key nutrients I mentioned in the video may help.

I knew that T4 has to be taken 1h before eating but I have to split my T3 so I take half in the morning with my t4 and the other half at around 1pm with my lunch so I remember it. Is that bad? I can't wait 30-60min until eating because I would not remember it while working. Is T3 maybe not influenced by food and does get absorbed better ? Loved the video - Thank you!!!❤
@drrajsree8 ай бұрын
Yes many doctors recommend twice daily dosing of T3 due to the short half-life. The main thing is consistency. If this is how you always take it, your doctor can adjust your dose accordingly. Personally with my patients, I have them take the T3 once a daily along with the T4 due to problems remembering the 2nd dose. Thanks so much for watching!
