Those illustrations during the credits where probably just for show since at the very last one you can also see the new future Champions(Teba, Yunobo, Sidon and Riju) standing right next to the old Champions despite them having already been sent to the original BotW timeline by Zelda right after Ganon's defeat. Maybe it's made of the same material that was used to build the Ocarina of Time(the Timeshift Stones from Skyward Sword). That could very well be the reason why it's able to open time portals and travel to the past.

I guess it's possible that Zelda herself could have changed the notes of the song for wathever reason or perhaps the song wasn't actually what opened the time portal in the first place Terrako choosing to play such a melody because it was "programed" to do it.

Almost all the Kings of Hyrule are when you think about it. The King from Zelda 2 failed at rising his son to be a proper ruler which forced him to entrust the location of the Triforce of Courage to Zelda so that he wouldn't have it. The King from Ocarina of Time completely ignored his daughters's pleas for him to be wary of Ganondorf despite all her premonitions telling her he was bad news. Finally King Daltus from The Minish Cap failed to notice that Vaati was a villain from the very beggining despite of his evil mage looking appereance and the fact he won the Picori Festival annual sword fighting tournament with extreme ease(through the use of magic). With all of this examples taken into account one could say that been a terrible father(and King) runs deep in the Royal Family.

basically after you do the last main story quest, the game will tell you that you can repair Terrako by collecting his part. there is 50 parts to collect, all divided into quest each can range between 1-5. just put Sheikah Sensor on Terrako's 50 part quest and youre good to go

@@shinyzekrom2204 As of right now we don't actually *know* if wether Nintendo is going to aknowledge it as part of the canon timeline given that it's story barely touches upon the events of BotW(we don't know from when and where the future Champions came from) and the gameplay seen in Age of Calamity is extremely "over the top" to the point it looks more closely in tune with the original Hyrule Warriors game rather than with the Zelda series in general. We'll just have to wait until either Aonuma or someone makes an announcement declaring it as canon or Breath of the Wild 2 makes references to the future Champions's appereance in AoC. As of right now it is a *mystery* if wether it is canon or not.

Nintendo back down from making it a faithful prequel to Breath of the Wild probably because they didn't want people to play a dark and depressing story where a lot of people die right in the middle of a pandemic that's already killed many people around the world. So they decided instead to "subvert our expectations" by giving us this peculiar timetravel plot that dismisses both the Lore and continuity of BotW in favor of a "what if Disney Pixar happily ever after story" that ends with everyone living together happily as friends, nothing important was lost, no sacrifices were made, no important character dies(except for Sooga i guess) and apparently Evil has been defeated *for good* (Zelda's words did seem to imply she *ended* Ganondorf/Demise for all eternity). Overall it looks like Nintendo chose to give fans something different to help them relieve stress due to the pandemic rather than make them endure yet more sorrow and depression by having them watch a bunch of characters die on screen while real people are dying elsewhere. Overall i can understand why they decided to take the game in such a direction yet i can't but feel they lied to their costumers with such a decieving marketing that suggested this was going to be a canon prequel to the events of Breath of the Wild. I hope that whatever it is Nintendo has in store for us in BotW 2 they won't resort yet again to lying to us with trailers, tricky marketing, interviews, etc. only to have us playing "Age of Calamity 2" instead of what they originally promised.

Personally I like this story more. It's not that I don't like the whole "last stand" story that we would've gotten, but it's a bit less fun to play a game you arealdy know most of the story of. Besides, the Calamity in the "original" timeline was so one-sided that it would probably be hard to represent that in a game where you can kill over 1k enemies per level. Botw still remains at the top spot of my favorites list, but AoC is a close second.

Maybe they should have pushed back the release date or something, especially since the game feels unfinished. That's not a decision that the common workers get to make, but upper management definitely should have considered it. If that's their excuse, though, then maybe releasing a game whose message is "everything will turn out great in the end, because there are never consequences for your actions and shortcomings!" is the worst possible thing to do. Considering how the pandemic got this bad in the first place - by pretending everything is fine when it clearly isn't... But this is all speculation anyway, yes? I thought it more likely that Nintendo assumed the Champions were more marketable alive than dead. Doesn't excuse the lies they used to sell the game...you're basically spot-on there.

Supposedly this game takes place in an "alternate timeline" like The Wind Waker, Majora's Mask and A Link to the Past during the original timesplit so the events of this game will probably play no part whatsoever in the story of the sequel to Breath of the Wild. The Ganondorf seen in the trailer for BotW 2 is very much the same Ganon from Age of Calamity but from the "original" timeline where the events of BotW happened so don't worry about him not showing up in the game.

The original botw2 trailer pretty much confirms that we're getting 10,000 year old ganondorf as the antagonist, so I doubt they'd change that.

While astor (the edgelord) probably did exist in the main timeline if the game is cannon, he would likely be dead by the time of the main game, let alone the sequal. If alive, he would be as old as impa, and likely not pose any threat. I guess he could appear as an Easter egg, but the main villain is almost 100% meant to be the one and only ganondorf. Everything about the trailer points to it being him. As to what mental state he will be in: that's a little more up in the air

@@adik6084 Thankfully it has *not been confirmed* by Nintendo YET but they could eventually should Aonuma and co. decide to go full stupid in regards to the Zelda Mythology itself and the consistently not "crowded" conflict between Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. That said literally everyone who does not care one bit about the series's Lore and the ever constant Courage/Power/Wisdom conflict that the series has emphasized since the very beggining have been parroting that Age of Calamity is a canon split timeline story. I myself don't believe that whatsoever since i know both the gameplay and the story are too far off to be considered a true story within "The Legend of Zelda" story yet people have such an engaging experience playing through they all feel like this game must be canon despite all the paradoxical convoluted timetraveling nonsense that it creates courtesy of the stupid cheap incoherent paradoxical plotdevice that is "Terrako".
