There is a seal that I've gotten only once, but don't see anyone talking about it. "Improve quality of weapons found" circle This has been an AWESOME seal, I only wish I'd known what I was doing before I didn't use it as the FIRST seal for my weapon so I could keep it forever. As is, I have a maxed out traveller's claymore for my "farming" weapon. I'm hoping I can get another drop in the future.

Quick question: You said that the usefulness of the star seals depends on the character. I get that for Revali mid-air attack makes the most sense. But I really can't decide which is the best for characters that don't have a lot of midair attacks, an exceptional dash attack or something that boosts their special atk charge rate. Does such a character benefit most from Dash Attack++, Flurry Rush++, Midair Attack++ or Special Damage++ (assuming the other 3 seals are Attack Speed++ and there's no synergy with the hidden skill) or could Strong attack++ also be the best seal in that case, even though it powers the moves up by only 8%? I'm mainly asking because many weapons in the game have a star seal as their hidden seal, so I have to put another star seal on the weapon if I want to have the extra +5 atk bonus.

The damage per 100 KOs sounds really interesting. I played the game with german screen text and there it is translated with "You gain 2% bonus damage after 100 KOs", it explicitly does NOT state "per 100 KOs", making it sound like a single-time effect. Glad you covered this seal! I really thought of this as a low-tier seal due to the translation.

theres still a few high quality seals i have seen as hidden seals i want to find normally. i think each character might have different priorities as well. (can also change based on the hidden seals of each weapon)

Most gold boarder hidden seals aren't in the drop table. I will at some point be doing character specific seal guides, and some characters have seal placement at drastically different locations. For example, Revali and another air base character has number 9 as his number 1 even above that of attack speed.

attack range with slate zelda. her aoe gets insane. makes it easy to open up weaknesses with her standard strings leading to either slate bomb for additional weakness destruction assistance or slate stasis to extend weakness. she can also use slate stasis on enemies with weakness triggers to then crack it with her standard string, though it wont work with magnesis afaik. her n3 stasis and n2 cryonis get incredible range boosts

Yeah, attack range I feel is underrated a lot by people. I noticed one interesting effect it has on some of Revali's moves is that it increasing the linger duration of any attacks that move forward, essentially acting not only as a range increase but also a ability duration increase. This is extremely noticeable with his 4Y to X tornado, but also applies to several of his other abilities.

Do you have any recommendations for getting good seals? I've been grinding Unnatural Disaster with various characters with the Improved Drops seal, but I've yet to get a single Attack Speed++ in the past 3 days. I feel like there's some variable that I don't understand. Either that, or my luck has just been abysmal.

So the best way to upgrade the master sword would be fusing everything in a fusion exp weapon and then fusing it to the master sword?

Essentially, yes. However, level is capped at 20, 25, and 30. So you have to upgrade to 20, raise the level, upgrade to 25, raise the level, then upgrade to 30. Also, would of course want to keep any good seals and not put them into the fusion item, as any seals put into the fusion item is lost.

While none of my weapons have reached Lvl 20, I have noticed that having 3 matching shapes doesn't improve the overall boost per seal. Given that only one Fusion EXP seal can be on a weapon at a time, is there a point to Circle seals 3 and 4?

@@Starcat5 4 circles are only needed on fusion exp with no + that is a tier 1 weapon, such as the weakest of the 3 types on each character. A 4th circle buffs the 165% to 180%. This is normally needed to get a tier 3 weapon from 1 to 20, otherwise the tier 1 weapon would fall short. In all other instances, a single circle is enough and normally don't need anywhere near level 20 fusion weapon.

Hey Tacet, if I got it right, you said, that for the %-damager per 100 kos, has a cap. do you how the cap works? is it like for every single stat that if i have done 500 kills i get 4 x 5 x 7% extra damage or is it like completly cap like a max of 200% extra damage? and do you know, what the maximum cap of this skill is? And do you know, if extra Special attack damage will increase miphas healing rate of her special attack, or will the extra strong attack damage will increase her healing rate for the "fontains" she will create with her strong attacks? I've tried fusing multiples of the same weapon with the same seals, but in the 'preview,' so to speak, I only see one seal with no boost. It was more so just a fun weapon for the sake of it. Even with that un-optimal build she can still permastun. Attack speed obviously multiple times better for it though.

Also, does attack speed apply to the attack animations themselves or just the inputs between them i.e. Link's YYYX hits multiple times on the strong attack, will those hits happen or will I just get to the strong attack faster? I ask because I've been leaning toward a Strong Attack++ build even though it's not a high damage one just because I use my strong attacks to break down weak gauges faster outside of Flurry Rushes.

OK, so let's say 50%. So really multiple KO seals can only impact how fast you ramp up not the cap. So the cap will always be hit after 50% and the seals just determine whether that's in 500 KOs (+10%) or 2500 KOs (+2%).

full stacks of damage per 100 kills is hilarious on the final level. you get to run up 2k kills and become stacked af. once his invuln ran out, i SHREDDED the final boss in under 30 seconds with a royal guard great-sword. the sheer damage stacking carried me to victory.

That Black Royal Guard Sword thing gets 30% extra damage under 30% as one of its hidden seals as well. Blood moons is where I got most ++.

You will get the ability to remove seals probably about 2/3 of the way through the game. But it costs a lot of materials that can really add up unless you have late/ post game farming buffs available to you. Where I was at in the game, just going through playing normally, not farming or grinding but doing all of the side challenges, I could have removed 4, maybe 5 seals. So, yes you can erase seals, but I would still avoid fusing "good" weapons willy-nilly. Any weapon that you find with a base damage of 50 or higher, maybe save that until you KNOW what you want on it. Hope that helped. Also, difficulty has no difference on drop rates, but the "Improve Weapon Quality" seal is a game changer. Plus there are events much later that will lead to infinitely better drops for both weapons and materials. That being said, I know how much time that I have put into this game, and the kind of builds that I have been able to make, and I can tell you this guy must farm A TON.

Difficulty has no effect on loot. Seals can be reset later in the game either all at once initially, then eventually an unlock for removing specific seals.

Did anyone obtain any seal that's more than 20%? The only one I have that is over 20% is Healing Item Drop Rate. Do the modifiers on attack seals (Regular, Strong, Midair, Speed, etc.) not go up over 20% normally?

Is the lucky ladle just useless? Do you know if it’s good at level 30? I assume nobody wants to get rid of it because it’s the rarest weapon in the game, but it and the training sword I thought would be weak at the start but have a good bonus or something. Also, do you know if you can get that seal “Chance to automatically guard +10%” on anything but the Training Sword, or is it therefore the rarest seal in the game?

Lucky Ladle and Training Sword are useless weapons mostly for cosmetic purposes. Unfortunately, the training sword seal is exclusive only to training sword. I personally wasted mine. I feel like a lot of people end up putting it on Master Sword at first, then get rid of it once they realize how much better other seals would be in its place. It isn't a bad modifier on the right build, but the fact only 1 is available right now with no way to get it back is rather weird.

Can I ask if you remember what the base level 1 damage of that 170 dmg kodachi you got? I got myself a 74 base dmg and could only manage to raise it to 151 by level 30

Devoted Kodachi is Impa's tier 3 weapon which means it gains +5 attack per level as opposed to tier 2's +2 (+3?) and tier 1's +1. 74 is the highest base for her tier 3 and, along with Link, Rhoam and Kogha, can only be obtained by polishing a rusted drop. Non-rusted weapon drops cap at a base of 70. EDIT: also to reach the maximum attack stat your seals have to be the same shape

As mentioned by Dredge, the damage per 100 KOs simply checks the total amount of KOs that have been accumulated during the match. It doesn't matter what character caused the kills as it simply checks the total. This works both with switching characters and should also apply to co-op.

++ seals drop of a lot of end game and post game missions. There is also a mechanic after beating the game that has a really high chance of giving better weapons and ++ seals on specific maps.

It’s a pretty confusing mechanic. For example, is any movement skill “dash attack”? Furthermore, some characters have midair attacks that do not require them to be “in the air” to used, so I wonder if those count as midair. You’d just have to make 2 weapons with the same attack damage, but different seals to test it.

I am pretty sure his various strong attack dashes does count as dash damage and not strong damage. I personally haven't used him much, but it seems like it would be the case if they add the perk to his tier 3 weapon.

High resell weapon seals don't get boosted from matching seals. I got a Zora Spear up to Lv30 with 5 High-Resell++ seals, each seal increased the sell value by 750, and a Zora Spear with just 1 High-Resell++ seal still increased the sell value by 750

You gain additional slots and the ability to upgrade weapons further as your progress through the game and in post game.

You need to go 4 of a shape then 2 of another shape. This is most commonly 2 diamonds into 4 squares like mine is, or 4 diamonds into 2 squares. Going 6 diamonds does not give any additional benefit, as there is only a damage buff for 2 and 4, not for 6.

It is pure luck and grinding. Just have to do late game stages and blood moons with higher chance for ++, but specific seal is random.

They are mostly triggered by staves, but there are a few other instances of it. It is a pretty bad seal due to how situational it is. The only thing it would be good for was if trying to get a world record time for a boss stage where you go in with the intention to spam every staff you have, and even then may be slower than attack speed dps.

@@FredKaffenberger Considering the fact that her weak atk into strong atk finisher combos are all lightning based, I'd say that would be the BEST character to use that seal on tbh since you don't have to use the staffs to gain its benefit aside from the "other" character you get later in the game that matches her elemental attacks using a different move set. ;) Didn't want to name said character to avoid spoilers

Please can you help me? My game seems "stuck" to some loots for Link: since I finished the game the only ++ seals I get are "High ressell price ++" and the only "best weapon" for Link I get are mighty lynel crushers. It's driving me crazy! I've been grinding for days litterally and not even one useful seal ^^' It can't be only bad luck, it wouldn't be only "high ressell" every single time, I'm sure there is "something" that tells the game to drop me "high ressell", but what ? Too many lvl30 weapons, too many weapons maybe ? Do somebody have the same problem?

@@Babouyou, You should probably grind on the “Unnatural Disaster” mission. The only recommended Level 80 mission. You can kill the enemies quickly, they’re all the Malice enemies. The weapons are definitely good though. Talus gemstones too.

you forgot to talk about zelda! I am wondering what is the best seal(s) for zelda bow of light?

This video wasn't character specific, more so just general. As far as her Bow of Light, 3 attack speed ++ into damage per 100 KOs is likely her strongest build. It is worth mentioning though that despite the weaker final 2 seals, her other bow at base 71 damage actually has higher dps than her Bow of Light. I'm currently building Bow of Light into that build and her stronger bow into attack range.

@@Nox_Lunatera, since he’s so focused on stringing strong attacks together, I’d definitely say 4 Strong Attack Damage seals, and 2 Attack Speed seals, since his Kingy form is so abysmally slow in attacking. Unfortunately, you won’t get the +20 damage bonus as his level 25 hidden seal is another square shaped seal.

It does stack, starts at about 15% then with each sensor material added increases each seal by 2%, so you end up with 4 +17% sensors = 68%. Of course there's a meal you can make to further increase the rate but I never needed it.

I built both of them mostly into damage per 100 KOs as I tend to not use them often. Normally just bring them out to take an outpost or 2 when combined with a bunch of other characters, so they get to have most of their damage buff by the time they are switched into.

If you’ve been playing a lot, you could always sell some of your overabundant resources. Pay attention to the vendor though. Some will have a little star by the item category symbol and will pay higher value than others merchants.

I personally have much different priorities on these. I have plenty of the materials for speed boosting meals, so I can get like 35-40 more speed on any mission I want, so I have no interest in attack speed. I am not as good at the game as you are, so I usually go for things that give me more damage, or make me take less damage. Additionally, the two I like most are improves quality of found weapons and material drop rate. (Though for that I have a sensor list that I keep at all times including diamonds, star fragments, koroks, since I haven’t 100% the game yet, Terrako parts, giant ancient cores, and the crystal key items that I’m blanking on the name for.)

The speed boost food gives you does not improve your attack speed. So attack speed is really important since you can do more damage in less time, break Weak Point Gauges easier and faster, and more

Oh, I didn’t know that, but that is still almost as helpful because you go from place to place faster, which there is a lot of, so it can save almost as much time.

@@tomscurlock7242 Not really, most missions have you ordering people around, meaning you can rarely have to travel if you do this. In the side missions the areas are typically small or have you killing everything, once again making the movement speed worthless. It is useful for you if you are trying to find Koroks with the Korok Sensor on certain weapons. (Tree Branch 30, or Forest Weapons 25) Otherwise most of your time will be spent in combat on missions. As for a sub note, while taking less damage is useful... most of the enemies which hurt you will attack then leave themselves open for 2-3 seconds. Meaning you can just stand away from them, let them attack the air, and hit them destroying their gauge... or replace the less damage with a damage boost and use a Fire/Thunder Rod then stasis them to destroy most anything.

Well, I still need it equally for two reasons. One, koroks, like you said, and two, right now, most of my characters are under powered compared to link, and my best character besides link is 10 levels lower than link and does 50 less damage, plus I have the most fun as link. Therefore, I almost never switch characters and try to do every mission with only link, which is why I find it useful. I will probably change that once all my characters are maxed out. Oh and one more thing, in the small side missions, they will often have a harsh timer which is why getting from enemy to enemy is annoying since it takes at least 10 seconds of that timer.

Attack Speed is NOT a special charge rate buff, even technically. It still takes 10 hits, you're not doing more or less damage so it is the same hits and same charge rate. I also disagree with it being the best, sure you can stun lock everything, but I can also do that via rods and most enemies you want to stun lock can be stun locked without it. Stasis exists after all, and can be used with robs/stun combos to get more benefits. So if I can achieve the same effect as it... then by extension it is like Perfect Dodge Window. I'm not really gaining from using it, while using something like damage will let me kill everything quicker. Obviously this is an exception with missions that restrict your rod usage.

If you do 10 hits in 7 seconds compared to 10 hits in 10 seconds, you just got 10 seconds of charge in 7 seconds. Also, attack speed is a damage buff that stacks with damage buffs. Damage in this game eventually caps, whereas attack speed can just use food to make up its gap. There is a food combo that does 37% attack damage that can be combined with a weapon's 32% attack speed. There is a lot of math out there that shows attack speed out DPS every other seal in this game. The only exception may be the amount of value a single damage per 100 KOs ++ gets on a longer map, as one single modifier can reach the full damage cap. It is why I have the one Impa build built with 3 attack speed ++ and 1 damage per 100 KOs.

Side missions eventually unlock it. 25 is obtainable during main storyline, and 30 is obtained after the storyline, both via side missions that eventually lead to a forge upgrade task.

Im sorry but I dont think Attack Speed is the best. I think the Damage Per 100 kills is the best, and Im sure only one is needed on a weapon as +50% is the max boost it can give and Im sure it does not stack 50% + 50%......Anyways back to the Speed. I say it only good to speed up slow characters.

I think this game is fun, but ranged enemies are just bullshit. They keep hitting you from off screen, and if you want to kill them, charging at them will just make them shoot you.

These are actually pretty bad. Attack speed is good but depends on the weapon. Damage per 100 KOS is probably not that great. Too many places with small groups some with 1100 but rarely higher and by that time you've finished making it almost pointless. Fusion Exp is only good for leveling the weapon. Damage under 30% is highly unlikely as people generally have learned to not get hit from the first hyrule warriors and you lose damage if you aren't hitting. Weapon quality again is only useful for farming. Special charge rate depends on the character. Some specials actually aren't that great. Material drop rate is minor when it comes to just using food for a mission. Perfect dodge actually could be useful with using flurry so not denying it just people might want damage or speed in comparison the starburst icons aren't always high damage. sometimes Square icons are better. Attack range depends on character as well. honestly wouldn't need it on characters like Rivoili for instance.
