HYS 27 mhz CB telescopic Portable antenna review and test on Midland 75-822. CB Radio Portable Comms

Today we review the HYS BNC 27 MHZ Antenna for CB handheld portable radios.
I picked mine up online for $19.99. We will review the antenna and stack up vs the base portable antennas that typically comes with handheld CB radios.

I have the older 75-820, do you see any reason why it wouldn't work for that model?

@@ProsperInHealth It's pretuned for the 27mhz band and it's a bnc connector so it should be good. I have some more videos in the pipeline with this antenna.

And yes CB is going to become popular again too many things are happening around the wold now to have a contact have an offline contact using CB Citizen band one fellow who I spoke to him on his to-do a conversations from Vancouver what the province of Ontario basically British Columbia to Ontario he's using a different type of antenna yes you can do a.m. skip as well

I agree, first with covid and now with war in Europe, CB use is on the rise. With war it shows we all need to have a back up communications plan for our friends and family.

You can attach an 8 foot wire at the base of the telescopic antenna to make it essentially a dipole. Not saying that’s practical but it does help.

Can you do the test on norm FM?

I will try and do some FM work, but to date that antenna has not stocked up as well as I had hoped. I have the President Thomas with FM if you want to take a look at those videos.
