Of course an awesome cover as always. Love the layering of the guitars! I do miss a bit of your usual emotion in your playing here tho, specially in the main riff. I hear the left/right double track for the riffs and such. Two extra tracks for the chorus I think since the final notes extends while the 2nd verse line starts. Not sure if there's separate guitars doing the pick scrapes and one doing the playing. Two guitars playing octaves for the solo. An extra on the final chorus for the solo-ish line. That's all I can hear.

If i remember correctly he uses a dunlop tortex .73 pick. I think you can buy them off the Muse website... my sister did that for my birthday i believe. Otherwise your local music/guitar store most likely carries them as well.

Try putting a high-pass filter on your guitar track and take some of the low frequencies out. It will do wonders for your guitar tone, it keeps the guitar from phasing out with the bass. :-D

Marco Torres It looks like to me he’s using a coin for a guitar pick. From my experiences that’s the noise they make when the coin hits the thinner strings.
