Hysterical Kamala Harris parody ad goes viral after being banned by Gavin Newsom

Elon Musk is encouraging a hilarious parody ad mocking Kamala Harris to go viral on X after California governor Gavin Newson signed a law to eliminate deepfake and other AI generated content in the lead up to the election.
The law was sparked by a series of parody videos created by AI and using deepfakes to mock Kamala Harris on social media.

You know, no one would be able to be a politician... NO ONE. Only God Himself would be able to run this place. What human outside of Jesus Christ has NEVER lied. Show me the list. Remember a lie of omission is still a lie. That being said, some people are prone to lying more than others and that should be flagged. I say, a running fact check would be a good exercise. But, it would require so many/much resources, the system would be overwhelmed pretty quickly and running costs would blow out almost immediately. Some politicians would have lower running cost than others but the results would be depressing. Maybe have a lie quota in addition to the fact checker. Once you hit a certain limit you gotta either be replaced with a more trustworthy person and or be forced to do unpaid work (I'd say community service but as a politician your whole job should be considered paid community service as you are a public *_SERVANT_*__). _Hopefully_ , with enough time lying can diminish and we can continue to lower those limits as we try and move down towards zero. But, this would be hard to police and implement in the near future... Maybe more feasible in the distant future. Anyway, what other impossible standard do you want to apply to fallible humans?

It does not just apply to making a fake political ad as if it were from a campaign either. If you read the bill it states any manipulated media, meaning even a meme or photoshopped image, is illegal to do within a certain amount of days from an election targeting a incumbent or person running for office. Nothing that is satire or parody labels itself as such because its self evident. This is why parody and satire are protected speech and can fall under the criteria of defamation and you still cant be sued because any reasonable person can deduce that something satirical or parody is not real or serious. What he is doing is trying to make it illegal for people to criticize elected officials or individuals running for office. He is a authoritarian crony who is trying to protect other cronies from being criticized. Criticizing elected officials is your right and you can do so in any way you see fit short of a call to action or incitement of violence.
