Hyun bin is a very intellient but very reserved man who takes his craft seriously. But after marrying Son Ye jin and having a child, he has more confidence to open up and share some of his feelings with the public. The list of his achievements is long and he has won awards over his more than 20 years of his acting career. He became a Hallyu star in 2005 with Kim Sam soon which created his popularity in Japan and across Asia. He also has a Masters Degree in Theatre and Film from one of South Korea's most prestigious universities. To play the role of such a beloved hero in Korean history as Ahn Jung geun would take extensive experience and emotional intelligence. The director knew that Hyun bin had that emotional and acting experience to play such an important role. I can only imagine the pride his son will feel when he grows up to see his father in the film Harbin, play the role of such a beloved hero in Korean hisory.
