Hyundai Alcazar Review (Tamil) - Diesel - Automatic - 6 Seater Variant

This is my take on my new Hyundai Alcazar. I have driven around 3000 kms so far with it.

My requirements are like yours, should be economical, should be premium, should have ride comfort, must have features like 360 camera, ventilated seats. My upgrade should be better than Verna. Now in my final list there are two choices, 1. Carens Diesel AT. 2. Alcazar Diesel AT. In Carens, 1. I like the beige and blue interiors. 2. Seating comfort and 3. Usability of the 3rd row. 4. The interior qualities so premium then Alcazar. 5. The quality of interior plastics is better than Alcazar. 6. Also I felt the seating comfort is better than Alcazar. 7. The other point is ride quality i.e. suspension I felt very good in Carens. 8. Pricing 3 lakhs cheaper than Alcazar. 9. Better interior night view than Alcazar i.e. all touchable things are illuminated. Why I couldn't avoid Alcazar, 1. 360 camara 2. Electric driver Seats 3. Panoramic Sun roof. 4. Electric parking break. 5. The Premium looking AT Gear Console till hand rest which we can expect only in luxury cars like Pazzat, BMW, Audi etc. 6. Better road presence than Carens. 7. Better build quality than Carens. I used only Hyundai vehicles for 12 years. 5 years i10, 7 years Verna. Already sold out Verna. So my situation is like cat on a wall. What's your opinion for me?

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Usually petrol variants will give a little bit less mileage than diesel but however their smoothness is unmatched. I'm not aware of the actual real world mileage of the petrol variant. If you have got the car it would be great if you post it here.

Thank you for sharing honest end user review. All the points are touched upon. It’s indeed a fabulous car. The subtitles helped a lot. I have experienced the average speed of any car is 45 to 65 km/hr anywhere you travel in India. One point you may add in your next feature is service experience. That’s part seals the deal. I have gone through these already but you explain better.

Bro in highway at around 90 to 100km/h it gives anywhere between 23 to 24km/l. For city driving it gives around 15 to 17kmpl. I recently did a round trip of 1000kms from coimbatore to Nagercoil and the road is a mix of around 10% city roads, around 30% state highways where roads were bad with speed breakers and around 60% in national highway and the average I got was 20kmpl

It depends on the usage bro. If you are going to drive more on highways then manual will be better as you don't have to engage clutch often. Also manual can give more mileage as the driver dictates the power required. I got automatic as I want my wife also to drive so automatic should be easy for her.
