Alcazar. I live in urban city so Alcazar will be the better choice. I don’t really floor gas pedal when I am going out with family members. Hence, performance really doesn’t matter until it able to handle loads without much sweat. Hopefully, Alcazar will do.

Why don't you reviewers just don't show th boot space between two or mention it while reviewing..it is a important aspect ...Safari has a poor Boot space of 73L which holds hardly a laptop bag whereas alacazar has a decent Boot space of 180L which holds two medium sized suitcase...do you expect to keep my luggage in lap or head while traveling as six people in Safari then how could it can be called as a 6 seater suv ...even I can't add top since sunroof is there ...so don't review just the performance alone...I thought bbc top gear people are experts in comparison but this video fails the standards

Stop calling alcazar a suv or 7 seater it's a 4+2 crossover...why people are shouting over wireless charging...it's take way long charging time than usb...and at the end of the day u can add features from aftermarket but not look, appeal and space...but safari must change the touchscreen and add 360⁰ view...must have for a 26 lakh rupees car...and bring on a EV version with some more color options...specially dual tone...

@@mejoe66 technically yes but atleast have the looks, stance and driving dynamics like real SUV...creta/alcazar are more like hatch/sedan cars...with little rugged looks and little high ground clearance...In SUV when you seat in the car and drive you feel it like I am king of road...like in Fortuner/Endeavour/Safari...this is missing in Alcazar...even after spending 24 lakhs...

Good and balanced review... Tata Safari any day.. Hands down.. SUV is meant for road presence, ride quality, driving dynamics, being sturdy, taking on bad roads and the list goes on. Yes it is not as feature loaded as Alcazar but it has all the necessary bells and whistles that you would need and use in everyday life. Safari is a super mile muncher and the comfort of the seats over long distances is unmatched with Alcazar. Indians should get over he features and functions and appreciate the engineering aspect of the car.

Agreed …I own a safari and experience is unmatched . You should own a safari to understand a safari. Enjoy the macho machine Alcazar on the other hand is just a sedan for 5 as last two seats are unusable

@@bunty4168 if u have ever been in the back seats o ur safari then u might notice it isnt meant for adults as well. we can all agree that these suvs are still a mid size suv and not a full size suv. they are all still a 5+2 and not a all time 7 seaters. so it is better in alcazar as it atleast gives u decent luggage space unlike safari in which u cant even fit 1 carry on bag.

just so u know all the list u have provided is about build quality which without any doubt tata has nailed but there are other things that matter in a car too. and i would surely like the continued list as i cant find anything else other than the build. Also as u mentioned it has all the necessary bells and whistles so sorry to break it to u but it does not have them. u r literally paying 25lakhs for a 7 inch infotaintment system which is more laggy than my 10 year old tab. U are paying 25lakhs for a interior tht looks straight out of a 10-13 lakh car. u r paying 25lakh for a engine which is powerfull yet uncomfortable to ride in. U are paying 25lakhs for sacrificing the comfort and luxury that u will experience every single time when u enter the car. I agree safety is important but it is not tht important tht u will pay 25 lakhs just for the safety.

@@bunty4168 what is ur definition of a practical carr when ur 4 wheeler big and bulky car cannot even fit a single carry on bag in its boot!!!! how on earth is it practical when ur engine needs more fuel than a petrol engine dispite being a diesel car!!! how do u justify its practicality when ur ride is somehow is soo rough tht the roads dont need bumps to make the ride uncomfortable. And coming to ur question, have i ever driven a safari? So the answer is yes i have driven all 3 cars ( hector plus, safari, and alcazar) and now booked a platinum diesel auto alcazar which i will be receiving this monthend.

@Kapler to kapler no wire cutting Absolutely agreed but after all cabin noise has to be very minimal whether you take any car, these are not meant for cabin noise. Fortuner cost a lot as compared to safari so considering price, engine and all other stuff. Someone should expect less noisy cabin. Even if you buy bmw with 5 litre engine it should not give noise in the cabin. No hate at all i can feel your decision as well.

I test drove safari and alcazar.....after 40 mins drive in safari on highway and city roads and a bit of village roads, we got very tired...infact second row passenger got vomit feeling....yes, the pickup is good in safari..other than that..its totally marketing magic...on the other hand..my 10 yr old slept in alcazar within 15 mins..safari is tiring to drive ..alcazar is pleasure...i dont like the AT 1.5 alcazars though....going for 2.0 petrol AT alcazar..

Fuel efficiency is a great factor which alcazar dominates over Safari and most of Indians prefer that. That's the reason Safari will lost in the sell figure.

It’s better than petrol and slightly less than the Alcazar diesel. Not much of difference to be a deal breaker. There are other aspects more appealing than calculating average when spending 25 lakhs!!

solution - That can be manged with a cargo carrier for eg ( tons of options available in aftermarket ) for luggage / cargo placement But my dear the overall point is that If someone committed that he will give a feature , for eg - like a proper 7 seater Then at least stay with it , before before committing Because your reputation and image matters on the decision what you make Just by having a 2 seats at 3rd rows where it's really hard to even sit for a journey That's really bad Even kids and short adults won't be comfortable at back seats #stillnobettersuvthantatasafari With Proper 7 seater

Also i have friends who own tata harrier and safari they loved the car but the after sales service literally made them cry. And when it broke down on an trip they had to wait for spare parts 😂. I fully agree with safari's comfort and power and build quality, but in reality if ur car breaks down in the middle of nowhere what will u do?? From the reputation of tata after sales service i would love to not experience such situations.

Overall good review. However, COME ON, 14:16, ride quality of alcazar is no where near to Safari. Alcazar is ok only on plush roads but on those highway rumble speed bumps, cities where Metro construction work always in progress since ages, Alcazar struggles. Driving at high speed on flyover joints results in bouncy feel in Alcazar.
