On very decent driving diesel automatic will give u 15 to16kmpl maximum… and petrol cvt will give u 14-15kmpl.. this is actual range in real life driving condition with max speed of 80km/hr.. But the price difference of vehicle is 1.25 Lakhs+ between petrol n diesel. And we are aware of the fuel prices.. MID will always show u high mileage.. when driving at a speed of 80kmpl.. but actual calculation is by tank to tank method..

I have creat SX CVT Petrol. I did 2 long trips i.e. 1800km both side and 600km both side. I never keep my mind busy in checking rmp and speed (very very hectic to keep your self within limits). Frankly speaking CVT petrol wont give you more than 13KMPL. In city its 8-9KMPL only. Thinking to selling my 6 month old car now.

Its a very poor mileage figure. Diesels from Hyundai are known to be fuel efficient especially this 1.5 CRDI. Is is something wrong with your car because Diesel Auto should return around 18-19kmpl in Eco mode if the revs are kept below 2k rpm, constant speed, not applying the brakes hard frequently and the tyres inflated to their recommended pressure.
