In my opinion, Hyundai completely missed the mark on this one. At 4.3m this car is way over priced, Toyota offers it's Corolla 1.6 Special Edition at the same price and that car comes with push button start, smart entry, auto climate control and the beloved sunroof. I think if this car was priced around 3.8 to 4.0 mil, then this car would have completely abolished it's competition.

This model is introduced at this price for 2 purposes. 1 - To offer those angry customers who are not willing to pay the price hike on the 2.0 Elantra that they had booked 2 - To mentally justify the price hiked 2.0 version of Elantra. If a customer is looking at this car, they would think that with additional 5 lacs they are getting a lot more and therefore they will go for that model instead of 1.6 A lot of companies bring in products to justify the cost of their premium products, this is very common in tech industry.

It seems mostly comments are influenced by the initial comments. Every car in Pakistan is over priced... it's a complete carnage on Pakistani population in terms of car prices but for the most part given the situation in our country this car is fairly priced. Dont forget Corolla altis is an obsolete model/shape around the globe... whereas this elantra generation is still latest in many countries. Rare events, sun roof and retractable mirrors make this car more featured than altis...

My concern is always the transmission i mean its very important for me at least... I would never go for a 4 speed auto altis rather i go for 1.6 manual altis but i think elentra 1.6 is a better option coz of 6 speed triptronic. I'm not sure about this transmission need more info i think.

Get Aspire CVT. Save the extra money and work hand, and then find a better option. Skip Elantra. That's my plan. I too just took delivery of Aspire CVT for this very reason. Plus, Aspire has a lower running cost.

I can't understand why these car manufacturers are not going towards introducing small n affordable family cars . Here in Australia Hyundai n kia have introduced lot of small hatchback cars in 1000 cc n 1200 cc n people are enjoyiy them . Although Australia has a strong economy n is a developed country yet people drive n like small affordable cars . Pakistan is a developing country n people do not afford costly big luxury cars . Aspire CVT is a much better option than this. One could get that, save up and then get a full spec Grande, Elantra etc. No need to waste this car as it doesn't offer anything. Beech ge option hai, na idr ke, na udr ke. I would argue it is a useless addition to the market.
