That was a buttery smooth contents presentation, love your style! Thumbs up! Anyway, yeah I do agree that while most Korean cars these days have some of the most impressive package ever for such an affordable pricing of sub-150k with such a rather pleasant and bold aesthetic, the major turn-off point is still the massive usage of hard plastic throughout the cabin albeit a high quality one unlike Toyota, and the steering feel is dead which is quite a shame. Otherwise, the Koreans should be proud of how far they've come. While many typical Malaysian are still sceptical of these Korean marques, those of us who live in expats area would know that a lot of em love the Kimchis, and the Sportage is just as ubiquitous as the CR-V.

Pls do comparison video and drag test with its C segment rival. Volkswagen Jetta vs Honda Civic Turbo vs Hyundai Elantra Sport
@Neo.5557 жыл бұрын
This is a car I really liked, but I went for a Civic instead. Reason, i might need to sell it in a few years and considering how malaysian market is I was genuinely worried. But I wish I would have taken the risk. Compared to the highly priced honda civic, this is a bargain... Elantra sport is to be compared against Civic Si not the regular turbo. Watch straight pipes or any other youtu.be reviews for an unbiased review. Compared to Civic, it looses on space, digital instrument cluster, and electronic parking break plus auto hold and steering feel. What you gain is a blacked out interior, lumbar support, quiter cabin, reliable engine, better gearbox, better seats, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, front parking sensors, better quality speakers and most importantly no rattling! If all of these are significant to you then buy the Elantra Sport or else buy a Civic. Base version of the Civic wins for sure and it's value for money but if you are opting for turbo, then elantra sport is a better buy.

faiz489 brand and model values and thus the price is created by the people and the demand. If people realise that Kia or Hyundai is of good quality, then sooner or later the resale values are going to go high. No doubt that Kia and Hyundai Malaysia needs to do more, say a 7yr warranty might in itself will increase the sales.

2:11 The side air scoop is functional, but its not for aerodynamic purposes. It is for the front disc brake cooling.
@AdrianChiaa7 жыл бұрын
Seramics Thanks for the comment! You're absolutely right, some manufacturers like Porsche uses air curtains to cool the brakes. The Hyundai Elantra Sport on the other hand, is primarily for aerodynamic purposes as stated on their official website - www.hyundai.com.my/News-2017-06-09.aspx Although I believe that the air channelled may contribute to some form of cooling for the brakes. Cheers!

the shot at 2:44 looks as if the car is humongous. or is the presenter a small guy? Also the Red leather interior makes it look very gaudy, they should have gone with black/grey/etc leather WITH red stitching. That way it makes it looks more premium. If there is an option, i would trade the seats from the executive version and put it in the sport. looks much better.
@derekow56387 жыл бұрын
hazobi not sure but I don't like Alcantara. It's not very practical in our Malaysian weather. I'm actually glad that they didn't put it in the sport version.

I like your smart and polite style of presenting But I must correct your statement. 1:28 ES is not the most powerful C segment sedan money can buy! LMAO. What about BMW 3 series of C63 AMG for example? Its way more powerful I am sure. Its the most powerful car in its price point RM 130k+ segment, not in all category. Please dont make stupid statement like this.
@AdrianChiaa7 жыл бұрын
Seramics Hey man thanks for the kind words, appreciate it! Apologies sir, but I think you have the segments mixed up: in Malaysia, luxury brands like examples you've given follow a different set of classification. BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class fall under the category of "Compact Executive". For more information about vehicle segmentations in Malaysia you can refer to one of the most comprehensive buyers guide in Malaysia, www.Carbase.my. Cheers!
@travischang55657 жыл бұрын
I believe the 3 series is considered as a D segment. Nevertheless, compact executive will be more apt.
@sesatin2dawell6 жыл бұрын

I can’t understand why u compare with civic??? U compare with the base one or the TYPE R??? U know TYPE R is the best right???
@meijikenbootes7 жыл бұрын
This, civic turbo (not type R, of course, duh), focus ecoboost, golf tsi, and probably, maybe, suprima s. these cars are in the same segment, of course you would compare within these. Not family-oriented vehicles with slightly more power to hyperhatch going around nurburgring and shite. Duh. I can't understand why would you even come up with such statement.
@travischang55657 жыл бұрын
I would think the Hyundai N30i would make a fairer comparison with the CTR.
@joshuaimmanuel98647 жыл бұрын
Its a C segment car ranging from 120-130k. If want to compare with Type R against a Hyundai it would be Hyundai I30N,Golf R, AMG A45 .Please do your research before vomiting nonsense of an eyesore.
