Very good and practical demonstration given for a truthful mileage test. Thankful to you for such presentation. I think that tachometer readings of 2000 ± 250 and kmph of 70 ± 10 may give a mileage figure which could be equal to or slightly better' than ARAI ratings.

I own a Nios petrol for more than a year now and drove it for 7000 kms already. I usually fill petrol from almost empty to a full tank and i get an average of 14.5 to 15kmpl with mixed usage of city and highway. I haven't gone on a long trip yet only on highways, so i feel this might be the real world mileage that anyone expect on a day to day basis. One full tank will be 37 to 38 litres. I would usually fill petrol when the distance empty shows 40 to 50km and by then I would have already covered 510 to 520 kms since I filled full tank petrol. Overall for 37 to 38 litres of petrol you can expect 550 to 570 kms. I have tested this several times and not once I have got more than 570kms in Nios for a full tank of petrol. My mid average usually says 16.5 to 17, so dont go by what mid says, it will usually be 2 to 3kms more than what you actually get.

As a owner, I felt it was a best choice buying brand new Hyundai i10 grand nios because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highway.

Completely agree with you. I own one and about 90% satisfied with it. As no car is perfect, there are some negative aspects of it, so I chopped 10%. Since this car is not built for unpaved roads, the user should be careful not to take it on long rough patches of road or unpaved roads. I have tested it on such roads and it is uncomfortable to all the occupants of the car. Secondly, the feature of horn beeping while locking and unlocking the car. It is annoying to the people living in locality. In the hustle and bustle of city, it still can be tolerated. This car is not suitable for long rides. The reason is quite funny. It is limitation of boot space. If one is planning to have a 1 week trip with five adults, the boot won't allow to store 5 suitcases. Short trip for a couple of days with five adults or long trip with three adults is fine.
