Because most people on youtube with 4 cylinder model do worse than this guy, people just don't know how to make perfect or even decent gearshifts. Here in Portugal we have a championship of 20 Kia Picantos with this same 1.0 3 cylinder engine but turbocharged. They produce 155hp and done 3 entire seasons with almost 0 mechanical problems. This little thing is really reliable

Carmakers in India love to skimp out on bhp.. generally have to get a ECU remap to get full potential...i have same car with 4 cyl 1.2 naturally aspirated and after a remap it churns out 112 bhp...pretty decent for a 84 bhp stock 1.2l engine

I did 108.1 miles per hour on this car (174 kph). I have a 1.2 L, 2016 petrol variant of grand i10 sportz. This car is amazingly stable at corners. Better handling and steering response as well. Lags a little on acceleration.

I drive this car on a daily basis, fun to drive, especially around tight corners, overtaking is okay as well ( gotta shift back), it's a great car wich turns suv drivers yellow when you leave them behind + low insurance costs

you're right, but i only use them for city use, I never tried econocars' top speed. smaller cars tend to get unstable when driven at that speeds.

+Graham Lucena Yoou're right Mr. Graham. I own a 2009 i10 1.2 Kappa Magna. I havent ventured pushing it beyond 90 on the State highways in India because, as you said, it feels unsafe even at 90 kmph. Maybe yes, on 4 lane Express highways you can, but on other highways. I dont think most of the hatchbaks in India at present, maybe with the exception of Volksvagon Polo, are sturdy enough for performing highway gigs haha.. Please share your opinion Graham, and others too..

This is european spec i10 2nd gen. Grand i10 is the longer wheelbase variant of 2nd gen i10, this one is sold in India, placing it above the 1st gen i10 facelift, the 2nd gen i10 is never sold in India. This trip meter is not available in india. The car here is the i10 1.0L I3 kappa2, in India grand i10 did never come with this engine, Indian version uses the 1.2L I4 kappa2. The European spec i10 and grand i10 also gets a 1.25L I4 kappa2 above the 1.0L I3 kappa2.

This sounds ace. Amazing the difference in sound between various 3 cylinder, 1 litre engines. This sounds better than the Skoda Citigo and the Suzuki Celerio. Kia Picanto has a good sound also. I know because ive owned all three :D

We have a Kia Rio 2013 as well and the temp is just 33 degree celcius... and on a Chevrolet Optra 2004, it's 35 degree celcius. Both of these cars doesn't reach an "almost center" guage. If ur looking for a Grand i10/Xcent for high speed driving.. I wouldn’t recommend so.. it is known to lose feel and feedback during high speed driving which may make things ugly if the driver does not know what to do if that were to happen
