I got the diesel version. Clocked 1.5 lacs on the odo. I get 20-22 kmpl easy on it.

I have 2010 wagonr run only 26000 kms. City mileage 10kmpl and highway 15kmpl. No black smoke and exhaust pipe is very clean. Due to age I have replaced all auxiliary belts, new water pump, timing belt, replace ignition coil and wires, NGK platinum plugs, petrol tank clean and replaced new petrol filter, cleaned throttle body, fresh coolant. No changes in mileage. Added timing advance in the camshaft sensor. Car pickup is very good more like 1.6 engine , Good acceleration like driving in sports mode yet the mileage is same. Nothing can be done with respect to mileage especially older cars. It took me 6 months to realise what has changed for the mileage reduction. The answer is Petrol. Checked on Google what was the density of fuel in India at 2010 . It was around .730 - .780 kg/liter. Now with the Ethanol blended fuel the density is .700 - .760 kg/liter. Low density fuel with the same fuel pump pressure and injector pulse width lead to more fuel injected into the engine. This confirms my assertion of more power generated as i advance ignition timing. Solution: 1.Remap the current ecu with reduced injector pulse along with minor spark advance to utilize higher octane number. This metnod works on relativey new cars from 2014 onwards 2. Find out the current fuel pump line pressure and reduce the pressure by 10-15% . This is more like trial and error. This is possible with aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator. This method can work in old wagonr as timing can be manually advanced, No fuel pressure sensor and no post catalytic oxygen sensor.

Sajjan lal bahi aap bahut acha kaam kar rahe ho good......but as per every diesel car manual aap har car ka gear oil every 50 000 km par change kare With gear filter & agar automatic hai toh 80,000 km par & every diesel car ka every 60,000 km par Aap complete Manifold & EGR zarur petrol & diesel maar k saaf clean kiya kare jisse us car ki pickup average & black smoke bilkul khatam ho jayega aap toh bahut bade mechanic ho hume batane ki kya zarurat hai

Fuel filter is very cheap around 600 inr but difficult to change thats why service center guys dont do it. I have done ut myself for my car

I have i20 petrol 2017 .. I always clean filters, radiator and condenser...I also drive in a good manner...city milage 16kmpl..highway 21 kmpl with AC On....
