Engines maybe older generation than new petrol turbo engines others have. But the upside is that it is reliable, proven technology. New petrol turbos are nice but often unbelievable fragile: cam belts/chains fail, turbo issues, oil usage, cylinder woes... I'd rather take NA engine with less MGP than turbo with more torque, better MPG and expensive overhaul after 40-100k (granted most of it is covered under warranty).

I hate that reviewers describe these size cars as a 'supermini' It's a normal size 5 door hatchback in my eyes. A supermini would be a Toyota Aygo, Renault Twingo or a VW Up! Not Fiesta, I20, Polo! Even Hyundai I10 is a bit on the big side now

I love that the car doesn't have a touch screen, and I'm not in the senior demographic. Wish more manufactures followed suit, or offered the option to delete such features when ordering.

I've just downsized from and Audi A6 S-line to an i20 Premium Nav as all I was using the car for was my daily hack to and from work. In some areas the i20 has more kit than my Audi, cost £100 a month less to finance, and has 60,000 miles less than my Audi. The thing is reviewers are used to driving top of the range cars down to the basic models of all manufacturers, so comments like interior is a bit bland etc, well of course it is but the thing is if I lose 50% of £12K vs 50% of £30K on the Audi for me the money savings make sense. Hyundai have come a long way, in a few more years with a better engine line-up I can see the likes of Vauxhall & Ford being very worried about their market share in this sector.

great car. is very confortable. i often drive fiat punto and think the hyundai is much better. 1.4 engine is ok for the car.

Here in Mexico we generally get less features and models. I'd like to know why because that's something I don't like at all. We get two airbags instead of six for a car except the top version, for instance. Not to mention Hyundai is just arriving to the country's market and only has like 3 models.

While the rear of the car is acceptable, the front design is really uninspiring, just as on other Hyundai models. Personally, I find Kia's designs to be better than Hyundai's. ( both interior and exterior)

Sergio Hernandez After all, styling it's a matter of personal taste. But for me, that front end doesn't look germanic at all. For me germanic means a design that ages well, just look at pretty much any VW product. I don't see that happening with anything from the current Hyundai lineup.

Pretty half-hearted attempt at a Carbuyer review. Never bothered to actually fold the seats to show the shape of the loading bay, show the cubby spaces and how a big bottle fits, flag out the cheap materials in the cabin and worst of all didn't even adjust the seating position and headrest correctly etc. Matt are you listening?

Hyundai start to be expensive Korean junk on the level of european competition or even more expensive but with engines who are 1-2 generations behind that competition and withplastic cheap quality inside !!! Hyundai and Kia was good 10-15 years ago when they offer more serial equipment and more car&engine (size&power) for less money !! but now they dont offer almost nothing more for almost same price and they have old engines and performance are really suck
