I’ve done 38k miles in mine now, I don’t have the seat wear. So far the car has been bullet proof too, not a single issue. I’ve put Eagle F1’s on it which seem to be lasting forever, most probably because it’s a light car. It really is a durable solid little car and gets so much attention.

Hi do you mind me asking , as a daily driver - how is the mpg ? , I’m thinking about this as a second car for myself & I’ll give my current car to the wife !!
@BM_PAZ Жыл бұрын
@@montha123 Hi, using premium petrol (which I always do) you can get over 50mpg on a run. In the warmer months doing a 60 mile commute I was getting 50-53mog, when it got colder it dropped to high 40’s. That’s at a steady 70mph on the motorway. Short trips are usually about 38mpg. Naturally that depends on how hard you push it but even when having fun it’ll be quite good on fuel because it’s so light. Tyres will last a long time on this too, I’ve got Goodyear Eagle F1’s and the rears have been on for over 25k miles and are not even half way worn. Again that’s because I did a lot of motorway driving.

@AutomotiveConcepts3 жыл бұрын
@@Xenon0000000000001 the thing is, with performance engines mated to manual gearboxes, if you are not quick enough in certain scenarios (this was way more usual before dual mass flywheels and electronic injection tho), the revs can and will drop too much due to the engine having such low inertia and you might jerk the shift. However, I suspect that in this instance, there's a combination of factors: the mapping for the engine might be calibrated to hold onto the revs for better mileage in WLTP cycle, as the engine doesn't have to rev back up again and use more fuel + the dual mass flywheel having greater inertia which also doesn't help

@@TheTrooperMB very different cars. We've got the x5 7 seater suv. Idrive bmw tech is the best. Then the old vw passat sport wagon for the school run etc is what we are chopping in. Used to have third car - boxster, e46 m3, jag xk8. I wanted something with 5 seats that I can consider my fun car too as we go back to a 2 car family. My sister had an elise. Best drivers car but total ball ache. Other than just a toy you'll end up hating it. 370z could work. Dated but chassis lives on in the 400z. Where's your local dealers? Who will service it? Insurance cost? Driveway/garage? Is it reliable, can I afford it to be out of action for a month waiting on spares? All this practical boring stuff should probably sway your mind. Can't really tell you much beyond the online reviews til I live with it. But fun, value, tech, warranty, 5 seat belts, were my most important criteria to balance. Find your most important criteria to balance. Nothing is perfect

A 3-door MINI Cooper S or an Abarth 500 would be much more go-kart like, but the Koreans (with help from a German) do such a good job, the i20N could hold its own against those two.

I am probably bias but I have driven both and it isn't even close for me! The Fiesta ST is a better competitor than the Polo. Both the ST and N felt leagues above the Polo GTI! All good cars though, would be lucky to own and drive any of these awesome hot hatches.
