The Golf GTI killer! In regards to the ‘scratchy’ plastics, these are in areas that get virtually no wear and tear. I have no issue with that . I thoroughly recommend optioning both the panoramic sunroof and the ‘luxury pack’, which gives you the electronically adjustable leather seats, push button start, folding side mirrors etc which lifts the interior which otherwise would look too much like a stock i30. And in regards to the brake calipers, these are inhouse from Hyundai as a cost saving measure so a not to go with something like Brembos. And even under hard braking, the in-house brakes do a superb job. As an owner of a i30N (red in colour like this one),I am having a ball.....EVERY DAY. Cannot wait for the upgraded version. Cheers.

@@stevenathan3059 i cant decide that for you and i don't know how much more money the new model would be. But if money is no problem, i would wait for the face lift. It has abit more of an agresive look and will have the option of an auto gearbox (not sure if the 2020 model has that).

I just bought me a 2020 hatch in shadow grey last week and im in love with the colour 😍😍. I test drove the fastback and the hatch n ended up getting the hatch, i just liked the more "sporty" look it has specially the rear and the blue colour buttons on the steering wheel make you feel faster when driving it 🤣🤣. I got the performance model which is the only one we get here in NZ, 275hp half leater, heated and electric seats, heated steering wheel the red stripe around the front lip and around the rear "spliter" and all those little extra bits. Maybe you should try get your hands on a performance hatch and see how the 2 compare. Me personally im loving it and still on the breaking in period, ive only done around 350ks on normal and eco modes which is killing me!! 😫😫

Interesting to see the combination of features you get in Australia. In Sweden (and I believe rest of Europe) there are only two options. Performance version with "everything" and non-performance w no lsd, cloth seats, no sunroof, no wireless charging etc. Mine's a performance blue hatch with the full performance pack. So happy with it except for fuel economy. But hey, that may be down to how I drive it 🏎
