I have a Getz 2008 with code error after a bodywork job and found this site. Firstly, in order to get out of " code error ", you must leave the car with power on to the radio for an hour, in order to get to the code entry position. I tried first adding 1212 to the last for digits as described here, no good. I also tried 1312, then 2121 and many other combinations, very frustrating since after three tries you need another hour before you can try again. Eventually, I called at the local main dealer, with the radio, car vin and everything else. The receptionist couldn't have been more helpful, after a trip into the workshop, she came back with " the code". It was either substitute or add 1 to the first digit of the last four of the radio serial no. Since the last four of mine were 0038, I entered 1038 and hey presto, " functionado ". Good luck.

And if you don't have it written down like it is here you get this code by adding 1212 to the last 4 digits on that serial number shown on the far right of the back of the radio.

hei! i add nr 1 on front of last 4 digits on radio serial nr and its works now :) tnx i had 0044 and code was 1044

@@TheCherrykye yes. if it changes to 2cde, 3cde, then that means the password is wrong. get the last 4 digits, and literally + 1312. eg. 1111+1312=2423. very simple, use a calculator even.
