@@2JZDestroyer Rimac, and the others in electric performance, approach this differently. Their is not nearly as much whimsy if only because the numbers are so high, that you have to take it very seriously or plow through a tree (or several). N Division is rather well known for their bouts of crazy, so yeah... they took an EV SUV, build a sound system to emulate a rowdy 4-poper that is so good than few know the difference. That isn't an approach the others have taken outside of maybe the Pininfarina Battista idle sound, but honestly that just make it stand out more.

@@2JZDestroyer rimac is completely sexless. that's as out of left field as if I said 'wow the gr yaris is sick' and you were like 'yeah but what about a mercedes grand tourer' like one is super cool and good looking and the other is just. a car, and it happens to have a lot of power.

I was gonna say the "engine" sounds a bit like an old patrol boat that somehow can rev obnoxiously high... Very cool car, I'm glad someone is finally trying to make EV not boring and bland. That's my biggest issue with Tesla and Lucid, and basically every other EV.

I've seen an air-cooled Beetle that had been converted to electric motors in the rear and in the frunk was an empty plastic milk jug getting thumped by a paddle on a small electric motor to simulate ICE motor noises. That honestly seems the way to go. Maybe something a little more high-tech but it sounded better than an engine noise blasted through a speaker.

I have an ioniq 5(not an N), i removed the rear cargo trim for extra space and now it actually sounds pretty interesting. If they could make the natural sound of an electric powertrain louder i think people would like it. The fake sounds trend on EVs is very off putting, it doesn’t sound terrible but i would be embarrassed to drive around like that.

Just looked up Official PPIHC results and saw that Robin isn't listed on race day results. I know that Paul D broke his leg during a crash in the non-TA car in practice which necessitated a driver shuffle but I was surprised to see Pobst and Sordo on the time sheets, Pobst would have been a VERY late addition to the team. Has me wondering why Robin got bumped, does anyone know? Bummer, it looks like he put a lot of effort into the car along with the team so i'm sure he would have liked to take it up to the top. Hopefully we can see this thing compete in some TimeAttack events soon and see how it stacks up off the mountain as well.

The Escudo! that brings me back to Gran Turismo 2. I would change the gear ratios for all top end, take it on the high speed oval. I would have to start in reverse, do a 180 degree J turn at 60 mph. it would get up to 265 mph if iirc.
