Updates:
- After a few days driving, the BeamTech LEDs started having less brightness compared to the first time running it and I started getting the engine light. So I have returned the BeamTech and replaced them with the Auxitos, which have been much brighter. I hope my concern about the fan is unnecessary. I'll update again if there are problem with the Auxitos.

Thanks for this video. It's a good guide. I just replaced mine. I preferred taking off the tires for better access. Here was my steps: 1. Remove tire. 2. Undo clips, i did 10). 3. Remove the cap (counter clockwise), pry if necessary. 4. Un-clip the electrical supply. 6. Remove the actual headlight bulb by twisting counter clockwise. Reverse the process to install the new headlight bulb.

I am 75 years old weigh 120 lb, both sides of fender covers were loosen but after the passenger side dust cap was plied open (tight ) I couldn't twisted the bulb out with my left hand. 10+trials later, I ended up asking my 30 years old neighbor (auto mechanic) to help. He did both bulbs replacement under 3 minutes. Even he admitted the OEM bulbs were tight. Unless the tires come off and hoist the vehicle higher, it's NOT as smooth as the videos showed. But it was worth replacing them

You are correct. The dust caps are tight but at least they are large enough to get a good grip on them to twist them. Then gently pry at the base with a flat edge. Once pried away a little bit they come off the rest of the way easily. The bulbs are another story. They are super tight and recessed so you can’t get good leverage on them. I carefully used a small pair of Channellock pliers. It worked. But, Wow. The driver’s side was a little bit easier. Removing the inner fenders was a piece of cake and unlike in a lot of these videos it is completely unnecessary to mess with the wheel arch trim. The inner fender material is very flexible. All said and done the LEDs are a gigantic improvement so it’s worth the effort.

Thank you for the video. I was stuck at the cap cover and I couldn’t get it off. When you said pry it open in the next sentence, I popped the cap open with the pry tool lol and it worked. Thank you 🙏

You're welcome! Glad that worked for you. It took me a while to figure it out too lol. You actually could just pull the cap out by hand. No need to pry it. Just need to move the cap from side to side a little bit while pulling it out.

Thanks for the video! Just got the SEL as well and saw everyone recommending this replacement. I got the Auxito on recommendation so we'll see how the fan does. Glad you were able to do it without removing the trim since other videos recommended doing that and I was hoping to avoid it.

you're welcome! I actually returned the BeamTech and got the Auxitos as well. I updated the video description. The BeamTech started showing degraded performance soon after I installed them. Yeah I tried to remove the trim at first too but it was too risky and unnecessary. It now takes me about 5' at most to swap the bulb each side without removing the trims.

Non need to take all 8 pins out. I took out 4 pins and had it out in 3 minutes

I have the 2022 and I did not have to remove the fender trim. You would think Hyundai (bragging about safety first) would have LED headlights as standard equipment for all models.

If you mean the AUXITO 9005, then yeah that's the right one. I have had it for the past month and no problems so far.

I would like to do this but I was told by the Service Manager at my lcal Hyundai that it would voind the warranty and also burn up the wiring harness for the lights. Anyone else heard this.

I'm not sure about the warranty being voided, but for burning up the harness, it doesn't make sense to me. The original bulb is rated at about 60W per bulb, while the Auxito is 30W. So the LEDs actually consume less power than the halogen bulbs. Not sure how that could burn up the harness.

no. I have been driving with the Auxitos for 4 months now and it has no problems so far. However, the weather has been cool, so the heat performance has not been stretched yet . Summer is coming so I'll see if heat can be a problem then.

Updates on this. It has been performing well during summer in Texas. No degrading performance at all. The Auxitos are solid.

the SC is based on Tucson, so I think it will fit. However it may depend on the trim your Tucson got. If it's one of those trims that use only 1 bulb for each headlight, it should fit.

Worst video I have seen on this in a long time! Audio is horrible. No showing of pin removal and far too much talking about nothing! No thanks!

The center of the plastic fastener looks like a nail head. The outer ring is a collar. You’ll see slight depressions in the collar where you can use the tip of a small flathead screwdriver and gently pry up on the pin. It takes very little effort. Once it pops up about 3/16” grab the fastener with your fingers (being careful not to push the pin back in) and pull the entire faster out. It’s super easy. To reinstall push the fastener back into the hole with the pin still up. Once seated push the pin with your fingers until flush. You will feel a click. You’re done.
