I have a 2006 Tucson Limited 2.7. I keep getting the P0133 code. Started happening when I 1st bought the truck a few months back. the 1st mechanic that worked on the car, while changing out the sensor, shorted out every other 02 sensor and the ECU module. The dope had to replace everything, but the ECU was replaced with a used one and reset. The car was ok for about 2 months, and the light(P0133) is back on now, and won't go away. I've been to several mechanics since, changed out bank 1 sensor 1 three times in about a month. It has the hyundai oem sensor, the other 2 prior were aftermarket. Last week, a mechanic had my truck for 3 days, found some bad wires(so he say's), and reset the ECU again. It was fine for a wk, but the light(P0133)came back on yesterday. It's been a brutal($$$)journey, can someone help?. I've changed the gas cap as well. I don't know if they should be focused on the exhaust manifold, MAF sensor, hoses, or should the ECU be the source of my issues?, because after it was reset a wk ago, everything was fine for a week. Usually, the light has come back on minutes after the B1 S1 sensor has been replaced.

sounds like a problem child my thing is why havent any of these shops honored a warranty i think they need to focus on the data from the vehicle and not the code itself

ugly HP Exactly!, I took it back yesterday, and he sort of dismissed it as a non issue, I told him I'll be back today because it was a little late when i brought it in.

I also deal with P0133 for a longtime. My solution is just ignore it.

My Tucson gave code 1071 often. I could not not tell what's the problem is. But this mass airflow sensor could be one of the reasons. So I replaced one. Hope this can solve it. Whenever worked on the Tucson, I hated their design. For this simple work, they used that kind of clamps. Once the bot was off, it's hard to put it back. You have to be familiar with this kind clamps. It's simply a stupid kind.

why dont not you just clean the maf sensor before to change a new?

Got the new maf... Still shuts off at lights ?

Is there a reason it can't be cleaned instead of being replaced? Also, I'm pretty jealous of your little Milwaukee Impact.
@uglyhp82256 жыл бұрын
the reason is because it was no good
