I bought my Tucson Highlander N-line 2.0 diesel (Sydney) last week. Amazing to drive. The ride is a little firm but you can improve it reducing tyre pressure. On the digital display I can see it as 51 PSI (factory set) Fuel economy is 5.8-6.0L/100 on highway. Depending on the how long you can drive at cruising speeds. And 6.9-7.4L/100 in the city depending on traffic. I have test driven almost all the cars in this segment (price bracket as well) But I found Tucson the best value bcoz of design, features, fuel economy and The price ( i got EOFY deal)

You did mention in the video that ride quality is not the best for Tucson in the segment and therefore, wanted to check on more details. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey the ride quality is not bad by any stretch of imagination! The ride and handling of the Compass is on another level altogether. But that doesn't mean the Tucson's is bad! In fact, in almost every other parameter, the Tucson wins. Hope this helps! 😃

Hey Bro, lovely review. Thanks for putting it out there. I am convinced about buying Tucson petrol. Though got a few doubts which are as listed 1. Test drive vehicle did not have the alloy spare wheel but all videos show that it comes with one. 2. For a normal highway ride, how’s the pick up of petrol Tucson since it’s specs say almost less than half torque than diesel engine. Any issues related to overtakes etc? 3. Is there a way to use the cruise function without ADAS. coz ADAS keeps breaking even when I can easily steer clear of two wheelers in the lane. I discovered during my test drive on diesel version. In Indian highways, two wheelers in the lanes are ubiquitous. Plain old cruise option is a must. ADAS should be pure choice of driver whether to employ or not. 4. Where can I see the colour options of Tucson in real. Unable to choose the right colour. Thanks mate.
@RealAutoReviews Жыл бұрын
1) They had a space saver or a full size spare but with a steel rim? The latter, right? That's okay for a vehicle being used for test drives. Please mention the dealership name and address (for your fourth question as well) 2) No. Zero. The diesel should be a bomb though, however, like I have mentioned in the video, you won't find the performance lacking ANYWHERE of the petrol too. 3) Guess what, a few years ago, at the MG Astor first media drive at the BIC, I had asked the MG engineers the same thing during the ADAS testing and I recorded everything. The MG fans in the comments section called me names 🤣 They hadn't driven the vehicle, of course. I am sure by now they must be saying to themselves, "that Reviewer was right." Unfortunately, you can't switch off the adaptive feature. 4) Please mention your city name.

Thanks Shiraz, I decided to drop the Tucson petrol & diesel in toto due to reasons related to Adas implementation & off course high cost. Loved the new scorpioN petrol, the moment I drove it. It’s a drivers SUV, nothing came even close to it in terms of ride quality plus the performance of the 2.0L turbo petrol engine. Gonna book it on Monday, any suggestion about the colour 😉

@RealAutoReviews Жыл бұрын
@@samratdutta3438well, thank you so much for the confirmation. I had to check. 😃 Now the answer to your question is: There is negligible bodyroll in the Tucson! You will love the body composure on long drives. The Safari won't ever be able to.match that! But you should definitely take a test drive of it. Like the Scorpio N, It will further cement your decision in favour of the Tucson. The Mahindras and Tatas have a long way to go before they can even get close to the sophistication of this vehicle!
@theacechip Жыл бұрын
I watched your XUV700 petrol AT review. Between the Tucson petrol and the 700 petrol which one would you recommend in terms of overall reliability and peace of mind ownership. The one difference is that 700 is largely a domestic product while the Tucson is a CKD (if I am not wrong). So the occasional/rare part replacement could be a bit of a challenge.
@RealAutoReviews Жыл бұрын
No contest. The Tucson will be at least ten times more reliable than the Mahindra. The XUV700 is not at all a bad product; the only issue is that Mahindra (and Tata as well) have a long way to go before they can match the finesse and sophistication of manufacturers like Hyundai and others. Heck, even the press cars come with niggling issues 🤦 So, no, I cannot recommend the XUV over this at all. 😃

Worst choice in the price segment. Engine is too under power . 2yrs back 13 lakh elantra had same engine . Only reason this car is expensive is due to import CKD.
