Jeep Meridian isn’t just a longer version (elongated) of the Jeep Compass, as a top automotive channel you shouldn’t be stating facts like amateurs. The front and the side of the Meridian is inspired from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the rear is inspired from Jeep Wagoneer. Quit the rather immature theatrics and compare vehicles on points which actually matter to the potential buyer. Overall, a very misleading comparison.

I own a Jeep Meridian and both these idiots have completely downplayed the handling, performance and safety features of the car. The Meridian is a joy to drive and handling at high speeds is simply wow . Btw I own a VW Polo and trust me i know what build quality is all about. VW's are WoW and i can say Jeep's are WoW as well. Also, the moment you step into the Meridian the leather and interiors at that price point according to me is a great Bargain!

Driven all three cars plus the Kodiaq. The video clearly was made, giving brownie points to some brands and I wouldn't hold anything against them, because it's a personal choice. Buyers in this category are thorough with their choices for rest, there is Fortuner. For me, safety is paramount and I can not relate safety with Hyundai cars, what about you guys? VW, Skoda, and Jeep were at par on safety; but, the number of features offered by Jeep on the safety side made it a winner for me. I would suggest the prospective buyers test-drive all vehicles but before that, please list what holds importance for you. Once driven, don't go just by driving pleasure but basis your original list. All vehicles in this category are fun to drive. Remember, the vehicle once bought, stays with you for years.

What ever safety features which are provided in the car, ultimately the driver is the ultimate person who is controlling the car. I am driving Tucson 2 ltr diesel turbo Platinum variant , awesome power nd torque. No adas in this variant . 38 lacs onroad price. Truly satisfied with the performance. Getting mileage if 14.8 km/ltr on average. On higways can expect above 15 km/ltr , ofcourse depends on driving style. But Tucson diesel is real fun to drive nd you will feel the premiumness, the rear seat comfort is too good. Hyundai has done great R&D. 👍👍

Drive the tiguan You’ll find the Tucson comfort oriented The dynamics and handling is straight out of a golf gti plus the engine has more grunt and pulling power despite being a petrol I can say this confidently as my uncle has last gen facelifted Tucson with same engine gearbox and my family has current tiguan

@Dark kboy What is the fuel efficiency you get on the highway with spirited driving? Do you use XP95 / 97 octane fuel or regular 91 octane? I mean with rising fuel costs and the quality of petrol questionable in remote areas, a diesel seems to be more reasonable although it has a 10 year life in NCR. BTW, do you feel that lack of ventilated seats as an issue?

At that price point the car is gonna be primarily driven by chaffeurs and nobody is going to need fun driving. Tiguan any day, it's a class apart. will never worry about safety and stability. The 2lt TSI will smoke the competition. Only worrysome part is that its CBU and parts will be expensive. But for first 6 years of ownership you can relish it without any worry.

@@kargo1517 are you kidding ? I've not seen any tiguan or tucson chauffer driven. I have an X5 that I drive myself. It's a personal preference. but chauffer driven cars start 1cr and above. having a driver is not same as chauffer, they are class apart ! :)

Nobody whether a chauffeur or driver or owner is going to be cornering at 120kmph everyday like a psycho and smiling to themselves. When you pay 30L which is a lot by any standards, you except certain interior quality, seat comfort and luxury elements in a car. Things like quiet cabin, reclinable rear seats, diffuse AC play a major role in the experience which is what most buyers look for. Tucson is not just better by a slight margin in those aspects. It’s just way way better overall than Taigun.

Poor content video. Engine specs are stated wrong and no drive quality comparison which is the most important aspect. Having gone through the exercise recently of comparing these cars while I was buying my new car, I can say that this review is very superficial and misleading. I would suggest potential customers to spend good amount of time with every car and weigh in their needs before finalising their car.

@@darkkboy7017 I give it to Taigun on build, driving dynamics, pickup, stability (all driver related) I give it to Tucson on engine refinement, Cabin insulation (quietness), Interior fit and finish quality, features, seat comfort and space, after sales service, reliability and resale value. Not too wise to trade off so much in return for build and driving dynamics especially considering we live in India where roads are work in progress throughout the year. I will also go in for the Tucson anyday as it is the better product of the two.

While Tigun provides better driving pleasure, it is no match with Tucson in terms of premiumness of cabin and features. with ADAS Level 2, Tucson is also more sp]ophisticated and better equipped when it comes to safety. If you are someone who wants to enjoy the luxury of travel, tucson is the way to go. With Hyundai's network of Service centers and the reliability that it built in India, I would definitely not spend my money on Jeep or VW here. of course, if I am driving in USA, it is a different story altogether.
