you are correct, but i think the creator of the video was just emphasizing yeji's leader attitude that hyunjin doesn't have. it's not that he is incapable, but he doesn't want to lead. him being middle of the pack in skz is really perfect for him since he can lead for a while (when directing the vocals on his songs, helping with choreo, just generally looking after the maknaes) but he very much wants to be taken care of at the same time. no ill will was meant toward either of them, i'm sure! they are absolutely equals as friends, but hyunjin does respect her as a leader, even if she isn't his leader, yk?
