Tarion XH & Pro XP Camera Backpack Review

Can the XP handle the Ronin S in the top compartment? same questions for the Tarion RB-02... Looking for a backpack which can handle the ronin S a mavic pro and ofcourse my GH5 greetings from the Netherlands

@@Blaqjuh Hi, thanks for your interest. The Rhonin S would fit in the XH camera compartment no problem if you realign the dividers in the middle space. There would be still enough space for a mavic pro and your camera on the side, if you place your big lens separately. Of course if you need your gimbal at hand, you can also attach it on either sides of the backpack where we designed the tripod holder. As for RB-02 theoretically it would fit a Rhonin S but because the back access is limited in size compared to the XH, it might not be very convenient to grab when needed. In any case RB-02 would fit your camera gear + mavic pro or any small sized drone with ease.

Thanks for taking the time to create this great review! I was almost sold on the Pro XP until you spoke about the zippers. From a design standpoint, it looks like when you are wearing the backpack, the entire weight of the backpack (and the forces involved when walking. hiking, running) rests solely on the strength of the zippers! This seems like a huge design flaw on the core design of a basic backpack, right? If that zipper fails, your heavy backpack will literally fall wide open, dropping all your gear on the floor. Also if the zippers fail, there's no way you can easily carry your fully loaded backpack back to the hotel. I do hope they fix this glaring issue as everything else about the backpack seems great.

These two options are great. The XP pro is our option... thinking we can fit a compact drone there. Any thoughts on that ? Love how honest you are in your reviews.

This was my exact thoughts too. Wanted a backpack where I can equip both the drone and camera. The XP Pro would probably be the best .

I owned the xp few months ago & I love it so much. It's not too big but it holds quite a lot of gears. I love the waist strap as well especially when you are travelling all day long. The materials & workmanship are awesome too. Overall love it so much!

Thx I've been searching for another camera bag, especially since prime day is almost here. I have an smaller Tarion camera bag, which I've been currently using for almost 2 yrs now. I over that time span I've accumulated more lens and gear, so I'm definitely in need of space now. I appreciate the video and review I'm heading over to Amazon now!

Really like the functionality of the bag. Cool to have laptop and massive camera compartment... but to be honest not really feeling the floppy roll top compartment on the top 😅

Every backpack is adopting the rolltop design these days, have a mix feeling about this. The XP pro seems like a good camera backpack but not easy to access the gear apart from the side access? Great review nonetheless as always!

Interesting design for both of these backpacks. Nice back strap and rain cover. The XH zipper in the back is very smart. The Pro XP might be a bit too big for us. More padding at the bottom of the XH would be nice. Great review.

I really like the XP.. Not only the compartments but I really like the hard shell.. Keeps your most fragile equipment safe from breaking! Great for protection

Do these come in different colors? Navy and beige are actually not... that easy to match. Love the way they look tho. Very metro modern. I like the roll top on both models. Not just from functional pov but also style wise. XP pro looks super serious with all the compartments inside. The additional security on the XH definitely is a nice add on and I agree with you XH looks better in terms of style.

Hey Ralph! Interesting bags. Initial impressions on the aesthetics for me personally was a👎. But it grew on me as the video went on. The roll tops remind me of the dry sacks we use when rafting or diving. I am sure they are very weather resistant. I do the the organization of the bags pockets and compartments.
