There's definitely a market for a basic no frills machine, something like that is so superior to a tractor loader on a smallholding or horticultural establishment for example where the work hours don't justify spending more moolah. Nice to see you back sir, damn work does get in the way of life but sure helps pay for it!

I agree, how many of us actually need the additional technology that we pay for when buying machines? It's why I refuse to upgrate my 20 year old 6400 series Massey.

Very interesting Mr Fud-Weasel, basic, simplicity, affordable, not to mention parts book too, not many manufacturers offers that, unless they want to play a 1980s crappy TV game show called "Give us a clue" from some competitor's, I would definitely would like this, especially the parts book for reading. 🙂📚

All the modern electonics and control systems have actually achieved is increasing dependence on authorised dealers, pushed price and maintenance costs up and de-skilled the operators, making us easier to replace.

At the moment, it looks like a sympathetic operator, regular maintenance and a sensible workload should keep it running for a reasonable lifespan.

Ooo second vid today! We are spoilt! As my mate said, you tend to get Chinese or good Chinese things. Interesting brake setup though with air over oil. I don’t think dry brakes would bother me either unless it’s doing day in day out work.

My experience working in China is it depends who does the quality control. If it's European or American, the products are good. If it's Chinese, run! Also the documentation is a big step up on Google Translate to, which is an indicator too.

We bought a Chinese siromer for topping on 3 acres. 2 cylinder 20hp. Didn't want to spend much because why would you. That was back in 2002 she still tops the field and a whole lot more to this day. £3500 well spent including the topper. Very little has gone wrong. All electrics needed replacing. 5 year report on our CRX chinese loader bought for scraping , so far 3 axle rebuilds for stripped gears and bearings gone , brakes non existent from a few weeks old , chassis broke in half a few weeks ago and has been glued back together , oil leak on steering needs attention now but no other leaks to report , first and second gear are exactly the same - no effect from changing , hours unknown clock shows 9999.9 for years , used for at least half an hour each end of the day , very much like the concept for scraping and would not go back to a tractor , the controls are not great but then if you want improvements to all the problems buy something else , for the money we paid it has been good , not sure it has another 5 years in it though , paintwork considering we hardly ever wash it is better than anything that JCB manage to spray on , in fact it has not flaked off or stained at all
@ClarenceFudWeasel5 ай бұрын
Thanks for that, it's extremely helpful. I think there are several factories in China making very similar machines to similar designs. Interesting what you say about axles, I had something nagging in the back of my mind that they might turn out to be a weak point. Also interesting that you mention the quality of paint too, I think they do that to cover up welds maybe? Thanks anyway, please feel free to drop in anything else, I'm trying to build up a bit of a knowledge base for people thinking about buying these things.

From what I have seen about Chinese equipment, if you have parts backup or not expecting it to be doing major hours they aren't that bad. And for the price you pay for a new one don't be comparing them to the big manufacturers new equipment
@ClarenceFudWeasel5 ай бұрын
That's my thinking too. To compare with an equivalent Manitou or Merlo woould not be correct. Different market, different everything. Thanks for watching.

@@ClarenceFudWeasel what type of a transmission & torque converter is it. The brakes look like older volvos, 4200 4300 or similar albeit with much smaller discs

From the parts book, it looks almost identical to what they used to put in the Kramer Allrad 212/312/412 40 years ago. Very simple, two speed, torque converter, hydraulic shuttle pack and mechanical synchronizer. Even the package is similar dimensions.

@@ClarenceFudWeaselMust be €30k in Ireland so . . . But why buy a teleporter when a good loader would do most of the farm work like dropping silage or big bales into circular feeders, loading dung into spreader, bunching slurry heaps, gathering bales in a field, etc? Am I missing other jobs where it would save significant time? Do farmers today earn a share from off-farm tractor work?
