I really liked the story from this part of the DLC! I went from genuinely disliking Carmine because of her abrasive attitude to genuinely getting choked up at her goodbye at the end of the story. Kieran getting all wrapped up in his head and refusing to healthily communicate with your character (setting up a rivalry for the Indigo Disk), and subsequently being teased as an enemy for the future was also really cool! Along with the way the Loyal Three and Ogerpon were handled, there really was something cool they did with subverting expectations and the themes of getting to properly know someone before you make assumptions about them. I can't wait to see how they follow up on it in the Indigo Disk. I'm happy to wait because there's a lot of shiny hunting I want to do in Kitakami in the meantime :D

I am more attached to my Ogrepon than my starter. She just has so much character. I say she because mine is female. Weird finding that out after everyone used he in dialogue. I named her Pon-Yoo and caught her in a Friend Ball.

The 2 main characters of this are so opposites: I started the DLC finding Carmine annoying and Kieran a shy little guy By the end I find Kieran annoying and want to see further development between our character and Carmine

Carmine says there's a rumor that the crystals found in that pool where you fight Milotic apparently have the power to bring the dead back, that people who have gone up that mountain to that pool have encountered those who have passed away. And Kieran was hanging around their grave for a while with the mask imbued with those crystals. That's probably why the L3 came back to life. Also, idk if it's just the setting, but I kinda got Higurashi vibes from the DLC. But a new kid arriving in a rural village shortly before festival takes place, being forced to keep secrets related to events that occurred during the festival, Kieran's "Liar!" breakdown and unhinged scratching, and the "evil" god (or legendary, in this case) actually being a good guy, was just weirdly reminiscent. It's definitely coincidence tho.

I had a blast with this DLC. The Mewtwo raid from the last few weeks was such a cool way to build up excitement too. The way this story very clearly builds up to the Indigo Disk DLC was so cool, I’m glad they’re not separate stories. I loved all the new Pokies and a bunch of my old favorites returned. When I saw Kommo-O and Chandelure I was PUMPED! I thought I really wasnt going to like the teal mask Pokémon but OMFG Ogrepon is SO GODDANG ADOREABLE! I only liked the design of the Fezendipiti and now I feel validated that I didn’t like their designs because they were a-holes anyway lol

​​@@ladypool1404 his turn to evil was building up throughout the story: losing to us every single time, Carmine not telling him the truth and borderline verbally abusing him, us not telling him the truth, his grandfather telling us not to tell him, getting the village to Ogerpon's side only for Ogerpon to choose us instead, and him being shy and passive. It's all been building up and he just snapped.

@@theplaguegamer6216 Logically I agree it doesn't add up right totally though. The parts that add up are Carmine's abuse, and his grandfather not telling him the truth, and maybe losing each time. As for Carmine and the Player they never knew the truth to begin with until it was told to them. So Kieran holding that grudge isn't logical. As far as Ogerpon goes that was just pettiness, which isn't really related to the other instances of his grudges. The largest thing about it is throughout most of the story he isn't conniving. When a character turns evil you typically see tell tell signs like taking advantage of people's weaknesses to get what they want, being manipulative, and other actions like that. Kieran doesn't do any of that though. So his transition to I must get stronger, and stronger is a 1 to 10 kind of thing without a transition in between.

@@mtgstudios1556 I see and agree with your counters but one thing I didn't specify in my argument was when we met Ogerpon we were going to tell him, but Carmine stopped us, and after the grandfather explains the true story, he asks us what we were talking about and we can't tell him and he calls us out for lying about it. And going solely off Carmine's behavior Blueberry Academy seems to be very cutthroat and serious about battling. We haven't been there yet so I could be completely wrong, but with Carmine's behavior, and what we know of Blueberry Academy already. I don't know but I feel guilty about what's going to happen in Indigo Disk.

@@theplaguegamer6216 makes sense. With the indigo disk regardless of how the characters got to how they are it does have a possibility of being rough. A big thing about it is technically for stuff to end the characters don't necessarily have to be at peace. So it could end well or badly. Its generally advised for the main character to be at peace by the end of an adventure, so if Kieran does end up being a villain then his conflict will be fleshed out whether in some way.

at first i kinda felt bad for kieran knowing we had to lie to him, then he started lashing out and it went from guilt to being very unnerved, then he apologized for stealing the teal mask so i apologized for lying, he said thanks so i was thinking “yay we’re on good terms again” but then he just dipped after me and carmine encouraged him to come with us, i got to spend more time with ogerpon while he convinced the village of her innocence (while a nice thing to do, could’ve been saved for after coming with us to fight the lousy three) then ogerpon ran up to me saying she wanted to go with me and my heart melted then kieran tries to run the hands and take ogerpon for himself and at this point i just gave up on him i gave you many chances to get with ogerpon and you ignored it, it’s not my fault ogerpon chose to go with me and im not gonna hand her over to you because you liked her first

I think the egg is gonna be the type you are weak too. So say you choice a grass starter, being weak to fire the egg you get would hatch to a piplup. Choose fire starter and you get turtwig etc. Or it could be random idk lmao
