However it there desire to grant there host wishes it can end up corrupting the symbiote. It also doesn’t help that they adopt the persons personality and so if your in a bad mental state it can end up affecting the symbiote too Peter in this case is dead set on being spider man and keeping the city safe by any means necessary Venom isn’t giving Peter he’s negative traits his just bringing them to light. Same with MJ and Harry. And just like how good intentions can have terrible consequences that’s what’s happening with Venom
