You sure you’re talking about Chinese food? Lol I never heard of or seen lamb in a Chinese place. And I’m from the small town south too. And that cheese sticks with sugar thingy? Honestly sounds more like India than china 😅 Indian food is amazing. There’s an Indian place here that’s authentic af bc I know the owner from when I went to high school he owned a lil hotel and a gas station that I frequented often when I lived there and when he opened the place up he invited me and his family runs it and are all from India so it’s as close to authentic as you can get. But I also love spicy food. And Chinese food too but I feel you when you say how the Chinese food here is not up to standard

Honestly yeah i didn’t really think it was a Chinese place as well, but the lamb was special ordered for our party, so we ordered it days in advance, a lot of the dishes I had were made for our party and yeah the Chinese food in the south doesn’t stand a chance.
