Great vid Mike! Haven’t been through there in about six years, so a refresher is enjoyable. NM has the scale right at the top of the pass to “welcome” all the truckers! Yeah, New Mexico roads are always “lacking”; takes money they just don’t have. (Remember that jerk NM politician who wanted to banish trucks to the right lane on I-40, because there’s so much traffic; but NM is too broke to make 40 three lanes, much less maintain and repave it) Enough ranting for today….

Rat-on, rat-on, rat-on. 70's joke. Caution: critters. Big ones. Everywhere. Looks like New Mexico could stand to do some maintenance work, and it appears it is. We do, finally, lose US 87 here; it goes southeast with US 64, headed for Texas. The Raton Pass into New Mexico clocks in at just under 8000 feet, about 2000 up from Trinidad. And we're about 100 miles north of Las Vegas. Just not that Las Vegas. I-25 goes in several directions from here; mostly south.

Could you please tour Sayreville or Parlin, New Jersey too? Would love that! ❤
Raton raton. Looks like new Mexico is a good place to check out especially Taos as well. Trinidad is okay but i prefer tour destinations like Taos

I thought the same, even angel fire as some place I’d like to visit. So my wife and I decided to visit Taos and Angel fire in one day. And then I discovered the most beautiful place on earth, Red River
