I-295 Widening Improvements Overview

The I-295 Widening Project begins this summer. The I-295 Widening project includes the addition of a through lane along northbound I-295 from just south of Airport Road to the US Route 13 interchange to increase the available capacity along the roadway. I-295 is a heavily traveled interstate roadway that provides a connection between Delaware and New Jersey. In addition to the improvements along I-95 and I-295, there will be improvements along Airport Road including construction of a roundabout at the intersection of the Exit 5A ramp and Airport Road.
