I first thought that the core was made from empty filament spools. Nice design. You did a good job from design to finished product.

Amazing, no words! Can't wait to design and print some furniture too, besides lamps. But the amount of filament tho :o , how much % infill?

Would you ever sell/make the files available? I'd really like to try my hand at printing it. I have 20+ rolls of filament that's starting to get old

Great Vid! How much do you think you spent total on printing material, including all the prototyping?

I feel epoxy would work better for assembly

Yeah I agree! I just had some old superglue I needed to use at the time, but if I do another one, I’ll probably purchase some epoxy!

Awesome model, I personally think that you have to much overhang on the sides. 2 inches on each side would seem reasonable.
@madebyjwillis

Haha I’m a lot wider than you are then - the chair is only 20 inches wide in total (most chairs are wider)

Add some bondo, sanding and some velcro to stick pillows/pads to it. Looks really cool. Need a comfort level scale.

It looks pretty cool! one tip would be to increase the line width on the infill, it would make it so it prints faster, the infill lines are more visible and the strength would remain the same, maybe also add vertical pegs for the pieces going along to align themselves too
@madebyjwillis
@madebyjwillis Жыл бұрын
Are you talking about the layer height or the actual width? I made the layer height .30mm in the actual print (probably skipped that in the video). I’ve never adjusted the layer width though.
@7897sebas
@7897sebas Жыл бұрын
I mean the layer width, you can increase it past the nozzle width by a lot so the amount of infill is the same but less lines are made, so it is faster as well I use a .4 nozzle with .8 width for infill, works great
