I love this video!! I used to live in Greensboro 10 years ago. I moved away in 2001 and was finally able to go back last year and it's amazing how much it has changed!! I miss it so much!! I'm actually in the process of planning a trip there in April but I'm flying into Charlotte instead of Greensboro..

@Freewayjim Thanks, Jim! Besides some parts in Iredell, Catawba, and Burke Counties, I-40 in NC has pretty much been all updated since the mid '80's.

@grvk The song I used is "Feels So Good" by Armin Van Buuren (feat. Nadia Ali). Just a friendly FYI, I always place the name of the song I used at the end of my videos. Sometimes KZbin places them under the video as well. :-)

Nice job with this. Looks like a really nice suburban freeway. And nice fall colors too. I wish I had more of an opportunity to film around in Virginia when the leaves were at their peak but didn't have a lot of spare time during the latter half of October/early Nov.

....Its amazing for a city under 300.000 people it has a full retail Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls Royce, (2:07 Maserati, Ferrari Aston martin and Porsche dealer. not to mention there was a Ferrari F60(enzo) parked downtown yesterday... I freaking love gboro so much... It's full of surprises especially for car lovers.

@VaFreeways Thank you! Yeah, even though Greensboro is a somewhat cool city, it's pretty much all suburban and auto oriented. The Downtown and Southside neighborhoods are the only saving grace but even they are centered on just one street each, so there isn't like a nice cluster of blocks to walk around. I hear you though! I really wanted to get up and film the Blue Ridge Parkway at the peak, but didn't have the time to do so. :-/

NCDOT did a horrible job with the first freeways in the 50's and 60's but the upgrades, like the one in this video are first class! Excellent work on the video.

I've only ever received one ticket for speeding since I've been driving. I prefer to keep things moving on the road. I have things to do and places to see!

Interstate 40 seldom exists by itself in greater Greensboro. It has two duplexes - one with Interstate 85 Business, and one with Interstate 85 itself. The ONLY area where it exists by itself is in western Greensboro's suburbs. (Not kidding; check Google Maps - that is how I found out. I have not been to Greensboro yet.) I'm hoping to get to Greensboro this summer; my Mom just came from there. In my case I'd be taking the same route Mom did - Interstate 85; the preferred route from Virginia and points north. What brings us to Greensboro? Greater Greensboro is *still* the furniture (and school bus) capital of the United States. (School buses? High Point is a suburb of Greensboro - and while known for furniture, it's also the home of Thomas Built Buses - and has been since the company was founded. To get to High Point itself, take either Interstate 85 OR Interstate 85 Business to Interstate 74 west.

cool video!! Do you get a lot of speeding tickets lol Your flying even tho the video is sped up! Greensboro is a large area for corrupt traffic police that pull people over for revenue and not safety like many police in NC!!

@gotthkid2 I think I told you already to look at other liberal cities in the state such as Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Wilmington before casting judgement on the entire state. If you haven't been to those places, then your argument does not have any credibility. I'll be the first to say that some PARTS of NC do not accept others that are not like them, but that exists all over the country. Try getting outside and exploring everything your state has to offer...just a thought.........

@keithjohnson20988 Charles Meeker is a Democrat...I don't think he would be racist towards one of his largest voting blocks. Instead of being so quick to judge others and play the race card, give the guy the benefit of the doubt.
@sunshineunc13 жыл бұрын
@gotthkid2....I'm gay...so, no one,knows more about being judge than I do!! I will agree Some parts of north carolina do still pretty much have those people that judge u....but you get that in a lot of places not just N.C...if u live in a major city such as charlotte and raleigh with a lot of diversity... and a few other cities here u don't see it much as u do in a small town!! I never said that we didnt have issues...but we are not some back wooded uneducated state with nothing to do!!

@gotthkid2 Maybe instead of stereotyping yourself and others, you should learn to get along and not care what others think. Perhaps your attitude and desire to make a flamboyant statement is what's giving you problems? From your comments, you seem like an unhappy, disgruntled person that doesn't want to do anything about their situation except bitch and moan about it as well as blame others. Your comments that highlight your personal problems do nothing but distract from the focus of this video.
