I-5 Colonnade Bike Park - Problems and How to Fix Them

I like that you aren't simply complaining about the park and are being positive and saying there is potential and reason to bring this park back to its former glory and offer ideas on what can be done. I think this was a well executed park and just became a victim of bad timing with Seattle's homeless crisis. It is a giant rain shelter and because of that is/was one of the many places that gets filled with tents on a regular basis. I hope that things can change for Seattle and our park spaces, like this one, can once again become places for us to enjoy. I also like your trail reviews. Great format where you start with clips, how to get to the trailhead, then each feature in detail, then summarize with a rating.

Went there 2 days ago, there were 3 tents, one was on a feature. It’s just so in considerate but the park itself is in good shape

I discovered your channel today and learned that it is really good. Btw here’s a story about the colonnade. About a year or 2 I got a mountain bike, at the time this happened, I thought “wow I-5 Colonnade seems neat I’ll check it out.” So I went there and started to notice homeless tents on every feature, it was kinda a mess. I wouldn’t go there.

Well that sucks saw some vids on it from a few years ago and I wanted to check it out hopefully they can fix the homeless problems as well as the other. Nice review dude 🤙🏻

so i notice you say kick out the homeless but later you say after you have helped them? how is kicking them out helping them? i used to be homeless is why i bring this up and though i never stayed at the colonade i did stay places that i was harased simply because i didnt have four walls and a roof. some of the homeless folks are actually very nice people if given a chance. i understand there are a few bad apples that make all hommless look bad but if we could find the good ones we could double fetures as shelters and hire them to maintain the park....just an idea on how we could actually help them instead of evicting them from a home they dont even have...thoughts?

Yeah that's a good point the video seems to complain about "all the homeless people," not that he had any bad intentions, but it's not like you can just kick people out for being there, you have to give them aid and solve the poverty gap/housing market increase before doing anything.

Homeless people should’ve occupy a public park. Period. Broke it down so you could understand common sense
