27:58: $4.00 USD?!!! The fact that the government has raised the price(s) of the toll is a shame. For those who want to avoid that toll at the 28:58 mark, one can take exit 79 (Dawes / Cabin Creek Rd) and go NORTH on Cabin Creek Rd until the road ends at Cheylan. Then drive WEST towards Charleston and start looking for signs for I-64 / I-77. $4.00... I remember when that toll was only $1.25 USD.

Yeah you have to pay each time you pass through one of the toll plazas.

Beautiful area for sure..wouldn't want to travel that area in the winter time with snow and ice on the road that's for sure
