I'm on vacation in South Padre Island, TX right now, 25 miles north of Mexican border, in a week I'll be around Houston and then Dallas, IF I get to drive around such express lanes (IF they do exist in TX), I'll surely get them on video and then on YT. Drive safely.

Is this driving environment in Miami tougher than Toronto? Also, I found out that Toronto wants to impose tolls n the major freeways after the Ontario government already imposed a steep gas tax increase. Also, Pennsylvania already has the second highest gas tax after California along with the tolls.

Driving on city streets and/or highways is pretty much the same everywhere. More driving experience on any sorts of roads AND driving speeds, better to get used with any new roads AND driving patterns. So far no tolls on any Ontario road other than the old 407 north of Toronto, tolled since 1997. 407etr.com/en/tolls/tolls/toll-calculator.html Ontario LIBERAL Govt's cap-and-trade policy has not been put in action YET, gas prices at the pump included, I've heard that their policy will effect gas prices starting in 2017, 4.3 cents per liter increase b/c of the cap-and-trade policy. Ontario Liberals have been in power since 2003. No, California usually has the highest gas prices due to their use of reformulated gasoline. Every region has its own gasoline formula to reduce air pollution. PA has the refineries and pretty healthy level of competition. I believe that fuel taxes should be used for infrastructure and not diverted to other programs. My question is what is your opinion of the roadways and their condition in the United States.

Michael P. Love the Interstate Highway System, also enjoy a lot using state and country roads as well. Personally I avoid as much as possible toll highways, other than I-90 from Buffalo to Rochester, NY or to Erie, PA and I-75 from Naples to Miami, FL also called Alligator Alley, I have not driven on any other toll road in entire USA. Toll bridges, yes, lots of long and beautiful bridges in USA, some are tolled and some are free. Michael P. Every year I'm somewhere in the States. Lower CAD = less shopping = not good for the U.S. economy. Gas is always cheaper anywhere in the States than in Ontario.
