After crossing the Canadian border, did you bring a passport? Also, come to think of it, the Canada-US border is one of the friendliest international borders in the world has ever seen. They were friendly with their border since I guess years after the War of 1812.

The border between the U.S. and Canada is the largest undefended border in the world. It is electronically monitored but has virtually no manmade barriers. I believe that since 9/11 a passport or passport card is required to cross.

Maine does a much better job maintaining their highways correctly. Trees far out of the way from the highway allows traffic to get through without trees falling onto the highway. NYS needs to do much more of this.

Unfortunately, this segment of the I-95 is rather lonely without much traffic. However, Maine keeps the highway surface in excellent condition and that is good and makes me happy. I am somewhat surprised that you're driving into Canada and probably you have edited out or did not film your encounter with the Canada Border Services Agency agent. I look forward to your next segment.

I've always wondered why they built the I-95 all the way up there instead of ending it in Bangor. I don't think traffic alone ever justified it.

Losing AFB brought a lot of traffic to the County before it closed in 1993. We didn't have I-95 when I was a kid; we used to travel through the Haynesville woods on route 1 to go downstate to visit relatives until the interstate was extended to Houlton.
