I loved it too.. Only criticism I have is that there's not enough new locations to explore in most episodes. There's a general store for example you never go to or a fortune teller in that Tibet store. In previous LIS games you always had at least one new location in each episode. Just would have liked some more variety!

Weird thing about my play through of these games: The first one was my favorite, then True colors, then Before the Storm, then 2. HOWEVER. Out of every game, while the end of the first one made me feel terrible no matter the outcome of my choice, the second one is the only one that made me cry.

For me it was a near masterpiece - 9/10 Positives - The vibrancy was phenomenal - The whole game felt like good vibes - The story was emotional - Episode 5 was art and made my cry - Music was perfect Negatives - The LARP felt so boring to me - Some characters faces felt off to me like Ethan and Mac - wish there were more Colors/emotions

I found the Larp most engaging, and I was honestly laughing at a lot of it(but the Combat kind of felt like spamming until their invisible health bar was finally empty). I do hope we get another game with Alex, because I loved her power, especially the scenes where you would climb inside a struggling character's mind and the world around you would shift. If we do get another game, I imagine we'll get more emotions. We literally get to see Alex unlock the ability to read joy in this game, So it's safe to say her powers are yet to reach their full potential. If we do get a sequel I'd also like to see mixed Aura's/emotions, Something I thought I was seeing in this game but it was really just the hue of some Aura's being weird at times. I think it would be cool to have a Character be mostly red, but Purple closer to their character(Which could indicate them lashing out because they're afraid). Or even Yellow intertwined and twirling around blue to indicate a bittersweet feeling, Like I feel Riley should have had going off to college but also leaving old town and Grandmother behind.

This was the first Life is Strange game I played and I really loved it and related to Alex. My empathy has felt like a gift and a curse and gone deeper than Alex's in some ways. I appreciated the game bringing energetic psychic gifts into a new perspective while giving the idea that people with sensitivities can find a place they belong in the world. Empathy is such a beautiful thing that I wish more people would tap into.

I get that Life Is Strange 2 has its cons (same goes for every LIS game) but I don't understand how some people genuinely hate it, what does "too political" even mean? One of the best things the LIS franchise does in my opinion is share awareness, such as mental health, bullying, lgbt etc, LIS2 wanted to share awareness on police brutality and racism which is very valid. I didn't feel as connected to LIS2 as the other games but it's story was incredibly strong, and the plot is the most important thing imo

Honesty LISTC is the best game of the serious for me. Alex is the best MC imo. The side character do not miss, theyre literally all good. The story is pretty good or great but I do think it should be a little bit longer and they do need to have more endings like LIS2. The setting is absolutely stunning. And the graphics are down right great. And I'm glad yoy actually like before the storm BTW as I also like that game also

I loved this game and I may even go so far that I liked Alex more than Max because I instantly related to her. I think based on that I love the original life is strange, before the storm and true colors - that including at least one character that we already love into the new story will help us love it. For me I loved before the storm because I really got to know Chloe and understand her, I liked it because we got to see why Chloe loved Rachel and we got to know Rachel a bit. Of corse we also met Steph who I loved even then. In true colors I felt I got to know Steph even more and now I’m so excited to play as Steph! Alex was just so relatable and lovable that it was so easy for me to love this game. I also loved how they made the decision between Steph and Ryan crazy hard. I haven’t felt that in the previous games. I never felt Warren was an option for Max because Max didn’t seem to like him that way at all - so Chloe was the only choice in my head. The same goes for Chloe and Rachel, no one else made sense to me. In life is strange 2 I honestly didn’t care because both seamed wrong to me… So if I should make a suggestion for next game then I’d chose a new cast, new power and to include at least one character from one of the previous games. For example it could be Ryan, Riley, Daniel, Finn or someone else that felt interesting from the last games and like with Steph allowing us to get to know them better :) Of course I’d like to see Chloe, Max, Alex, Steph, Ryan, Daniel again in new games. I’d also like to see Finn, Riley, Mickey and maybe even Warren return to future games. Of course I’d like to learn more about Rachel and Gabe, but seeing as they are dead it might not be that easy unless the next power is to be able to see the dead which I’d be all for! 🥰 I for one loved the LARP! It was so fun and it made me love Steph more because she put that together. The only thing I feel like I miss is more of this game, I would have loved for it to be longer really! I want to choices to really make a difference (like en Detroit Become Human - where your choices can kill of many of the characters including the one you are playing. There’s a moment in True Colors where Alex has to decide if she wants to sign a paper to protect Ryan and Steph or take Pikes fear. Honestly I don’t want any of them to die, but the fact that no matter your choice nothing changed was a bummer to me). I would also have loved that they had included that you would talk to Ryan if he didn’t believe you (which you only can if you choose him) and the same for Steph (that she can tell you in person about leaving and maybe an option to talk her into staying like Gabe did). Those details would have made the game even better in my opinion:)

@@lostsignals2985 lis 2 is a plot hole filled propaganda piece. I can’t say I didn’t enjoy moments in 2 because there were a few. But my goodness they just went full on down your throat with the propaganda. All the other lis games are classics. They handle complicated issues organically. Leave politics to a minimum. They don’t demonize groups of people. There is literally a child who has force powers and the government knows about these powers, because he is seen hurling police cars around, among so many other examples, and Daniel just goes on living life. There is no scenario in any reality where that makes sense. They didn’t even attempt to explain the reason regardless if there was any good reason they could create. The government would not just let someone like that walk around. He would be studied. He would be monitored, interviewed etc etc etc. it’s not something that you can suspend your belief on because it’s just so insane. He didn’t even get asked a d*** question lol. And that’s on top of the over the top propaganda

@@davidpitts5851 You don't know what propaganda and a plot hole is based on how you use it. Also what is so propagandic about telling you to treat people of color fairly. That is something people should always know. Due to covid, many Asian Americans are facing problems similar to the Diaz brothers. Are you saying the problem should never be acknowledged? Also Life is Strange 2 is not demonizing as there were nice white people such as Cassidy. Also if you if you are wondering why the government won't experiemnt on Daniel is because they would be violating various governmental and professional regulations and codes of ethics. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_subject_research_legislation_in_the_United_States#Research_that_does_not_require_IRB_review

The two most surprising things were how powerful Alex's powers were, much more than I anticipated, as well as the LARP segment which I had so much fun with. My biggest gripe was that it didn't run long enough, compared to LiS 2 this felt like a short film, but they did well with what they had

@@jackoberto01 Well, as I say, that clearly damaged the Game. It's not an awful Game in my Opinion, but yes, I have to agree that it's the worst in the Series. The LiS-Franchise really only works completely without all this Things I mentioned. What besides these Things angers me the most, is that Lyla (the most likeable and cute female Character in the Game) is NOT one of the Love-Options besides Cassidy (she's cool). Instead it's this A**hole Finn. And that Lyla only appears at the Beginning, in a few Scenes (just hearing her Voice) and shortly at the End when Sean gets out of Jail in one of the Endings. DonTnoD really messed up with this one.

This Instalment in the LIS series has really revitalised my interest, I thought after 2 it would only go downhill before these games eventually stopped being made, but now it's quite obvious I was wrong and honestly I'm happy to be. Only little gripes I have with this game is size, In terms of locations and the scale of the story(which is weird because hurting a billion dollar global company is more impactful on the world than taking down a kidnapper, or escaping America), but in honesty it's fine to focus on a smaller story and setting for a game, even more so after the bigger stories of prior games. My second would be the mystery. I certainly liked how it turned out, but it felt small, and unpersonal. Unlike the first LIS, which felt so personal, with the bad guys being on a person level, instead of a faceless evil corporation. Sure, We had Diane, Jed, Mac and all, but I don't think any of them were true villains. They were all just flawed, and while I do believe that's what a good villain should be, those 3 honestly felt more like victims to me.
@TherealRNOwwfpooh
@TherealRNOwwfpooh Жыл бұрын
That's because in the real world, even villains aren't 100% irredeemably evil. Nobody starts life as bad. The events permeating world culture & indoctrination (whether voluntarily chosen or forcibly manipulated) formulates everybody's opinion, whether they be good or bad, meanwhile certain life stories & actions actively send people down either ethically upright or deplorably corrupted paths in life. However, since most people fall into a gray area in terms of their moral compass, the majority of us have each made both good and bad decisions in our lives that have positively and negatively impacted both ourselves and those whom we interact with.

Here is my take : Pros: -Story was good -Power is decent. feels more plausible then Lis1/2 -characters are nice. -Looking amazing visuals are stunning (Played on High and low both, looks good) -well written characters (Matt, Ethan) -facial movement and eyes are amazing -emotions are well translated -Soundtrack -Amazing Detail with interactables Cons: -Short. (Althou its not a numbered entry, so that can be overlooked) -Episode 1 and 5 felt too fast moving story wise. -Larp was fun, but shouldn't be a main episode. It should have been more of an optional fun thing like playing dnd with steph in Before the Storm -Map. No map. I found myself walking throu the town 3 times to find the allyway -Some clunky moving. Like the lantern scene -A few T-poses Overall : The game is one of the best "side stories". Im so sad that this isn't a numbered entry. Its still a heavy hitter and a strong contender for the best life is strange game. 10/8.25 Final words: Life is a stage, and this was a damn amazing scene

I think that this one was successful because it had the same depressing emotional feels like how it did with LIS1 and LIS before the storm. This game made me depress after playing it lol. I love it!!!! It started off kind of slow, but I like it that you get the chance to explore the place and explore characters within the town. I do agree with you that you can relate with Alex and she is likible. You are able to use her power from the start. It doesn't need to be open world stuff because the main story can get side-track lol. If the next LIS game continues this feels, then I think the next LIS will be good also. LIS2 could have been good, but I just feel like it didn't really have that depressing emotional feels like you have in LIS1, LISBTS and LISTC lol. LIS2 didn't focus much on the feels like how they did in LIS1. Plus, you always go from places to places and you were never in one spot. Because of that, LIS2's story had many loopholes. There were some characters you met along the way, but they didn't really stay with you throughout the story. I think I was more annoyed in LIS2 because of Daniel throughout the game until the ending. Sean was cool though. I felt like the theme was lost in LIS2. I think that's why I didn't really like LIS2 as much.

It's better than the 2nd game but it's far from a masterpiece. Most charachters are very one dimensional and you learn very little about them by the end. In the first game you get to learn more about Rachel Amber who wasn't even in the game that you did about Steph and Ryan. Another thing that bugged me was how little impact to none your decisions made and how arbitrary the choices were like taking Charlotte's anger is bad but taking Pike's fear is good somehow? There's also not the same atention to details that was in the first game. If you are into photography there were a lot of cool details you could nerd about but there's nothing like that about music in this game. The deepest it goes is this is this is a record player, this is a guitar, and don't even get me started on calling the bass a guitar. I didn't hate it but while playing it I couldn't stop copmaring it to the first game and it never compared favorably.

Taking Charlotte's anger leaves her an emotionless husk for the rest of the game (Anger naturally being an integral part of the grieving process, which Charlotte needed to work out on her own without Alex intervening, especially since doing so results in Alex lashing out by throwing the Foosball Champion trophy towards Steph & Ryan, thereby causing it to break, which leads to Steph angrily storming out of the apartment in a huff whilst Ryan takes a hesitant step backwards before walking away, thusly temporarily shooting Alex's romantic prospects in the proverbial foot, since the nature-living, bird-loving himbo & the proud lesbian nerd queen radio deejay will no longer help you in uncovering Typhon's hidden dark secret that it killed Gabe to keep buried, so the only way to romance them going forward is to give either of them a rose at the Spring Festival, but it'll take some doing to repair any potential relationship on account of how absorbing Charlotte's unfettered rage causes Steph & Ryan to abandon Alex when she likely needs their help the most) & in addition to this, Ethan's mom will not side with you at the Town Council meeting during the final chapter; To that end, she's one of the key members whose support can sway the majority vote in Alex's favor, so it's good to have Gabe's widowed divorcee girlfriend backing Alex up. The same is true of the Deputy Sheriff, because getting the local lawman on your side after removing his fear of the greedy mining corporation Typhon (with the shit heel cop who took bribes -- namely, being given flashy new motorcycles by donations funded by Typhon's bankroll & a possible budding romance with Typhon's Haven division process manager, Diane Jacobs -- seemingly claiming that the greedy corporation is somehow "too big to fail" [which is ironic, because that's how the real-life banking system in America nearly collapsed under itself during the 19th Century], at least until Alex literally pulls his fear out of him if you stubbornly refuse to sign the affidavit) finally allows Pike to find the guts to stand up against Typhon's corruption & get into a heated argument/shouting match with Diane over the incriminating evidence found on the USB stick (Granted, the USB belongs to Diane & because she regrettably works for Typhon, the device is thereby considered Typhon property by proxy, so if this whole matter had escalated to a court case, the unsavory conglomerate would've sadly won, either through legal loopholes or even perhaps bribing/smooth talking the judge and/or maybe rigging the jury to be full of people that only either readily support Typhon's underhanded tactics overall or only side with Typhon purely for reasonable compensation/personal gain, since it's clear Typhon will throw anybody linked to it under the bus to protect the company's baseline profit margin & as many in-game wall posters have pointed out, will ruthlessly "put their bottom line over your family's health"), which is instrumental in bringing Typhon to its knees once its various scandals have become public knowledge through the use of newspaper columns/news outlets on TV/online social media platforms.

It appears that Life is Strange 3 has the honor of being the turd game in the franchise, pun fully intended. I barely made it through episode 1, quit early in episode 2, and watched episode 3 on KZbin thinking there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately, the majority of episode 3 had a long unskippable roleplaying story. Life is Strange 3 was about as exciting as watching paint dry in slow motion. Maybe they should have called it "Life is Boring”

I hated it, story was predictable and bland, characters were aslo predicatble and bland and her powers were so fucking corny. Its like it was pitched by a 15 year old girl on twitter, lame as fuck, i stopped after 3 hours of being bored out of my mind

I don't get the hate for LiS2, I loved it just as much as the others even if it was for different reasons. It had such an emotional impact on me. I felt like the choices had way more weight in the end, with 4 vastly different endings, more weight than any other entry in the series really. I really enjoyed True Colors, but it was disappointing how little the different endings actually differ based on the choices throughout the game. Sure there are 6 endings, but they are just different flavors of 2 endings. And even though LiS 1 only had 2 endings, at least they were different and emotionally weighty. But maybe that's why this isn't LiS3?

Or maybe, because DontNod don't develop the game anymore & left everything relating to LIS up to Deck Nine, they left the numbering system in the past and rightfully so, because it's usually after the 3rd installment that games, movies, and books start to lose their luster.

I'm still waiting on my copy of the game to arrive in the mail, but due to lockdown in my area (despite there being no COVID cases anywhere near my area), it'll probably be a week or two before I can play it.
