I joined a game as a survivor alongside a 3 man SWF. I died and decided to pop into their chat to say hi. They told me to go F myself and that I was gonna get reported for stream sniping. They took it back when I told them I was the survivor and not the killer, but that immediate hostile reaction to a stranger saying hi was insane.

If I see a ttv I will search their stream to see if they are live, if they are live and I know I can watch the game back to see their thought process and feelings on the match I leave their chat to not stream snipe. I just love seeing all the reactions as I am a p66 SM main lol. The varied reactions to my killer and my prestige are funny to watch. I also sometimes play Twins as my second “main” and seeing reactions to a rare killer is also fun. But yeah I never speak in a chat after the game unless I am sure they aren’t a negative person because the first thought they have is calling you a stream sniper

Consistently watching these kinds of videos of toxicity has honestly been such a huge help to how I react to matches nowadays. It's not perfect and I still get angry, but I'm a lot calmer than when I first started dbd and a big reason is that after seeing these toxic ttv videos and salty videos, I realized I do not want to one day end up like that. Played a Demo game for a Daily: chasing survivors for 180 seconds. Ada in lobby has Flashlight. Was fully expecting to lose, having not played killer in a good while. Load in to Redwood. Chase Sable. She gpes into a locker. I pick her up. Jill uses background player into flashbang save. Immediately recognize what they're doing. New objective: bleed them out. They finish 4 gens. I down Sable again. wait for them to die. She and Jill dc, followed shortly by Ada. Kill bots. Jonah lives. You choose your playstyle, I choose mine. Its very reactive like that.

@@legionofcats5175 Their particular play style was simply to waste my time trying to pick them up from lockers while other people did gens. Using flashbangs, their friends are able to run up while you are stuck in the grab animation and drop it, giving you virtually zero time to react and avoid the explosion. The Jill and Sable were always staying close enough to save one another, but too far for me to get both of them downed at the same time. The Sable also had head on, so that she could stun and blind multiple times after being saved from a locker. Knocking them down and bleeding them out bypasses the locker and blinding saves issues, though it grants no points or hook progression. They chose to use an incredibly obnoxious playstyle, aimed solely at annoying the killer. Ironically, the best counterplay is deeply annoying to survivors: deny them any participation by slugging.

Regarding the voice acting thing, I've been to university (American college) for media and performance. In this I did study voice acting and radio, one of my biggest pet peeves is when people don't realise they would need to know how to act, to voice act. A good way to also start getting into voice work is audio books as they are the lowest hanging fruit in the voice over world, just doing what you can to make a name of course like anything.

I've, honestly found running perks to help secure hooks is more useful lately as killer. I've been trying out Ghostface, and running lightborn, starstruck, agitation, and mad grit. I had a match going poorly earlier, but then the survivor team stopped going for gens and going for flashbang saves. 11 hook game with the last survivor dropping their toolbox after opening the gate. I was at 3 hooks with 2 gens left, killed three and found hatch first.

I dont understand that person's problem with Hag. Outside the traps she is essentially just an M1 killer. And mostly seemed to be played as a chase killer in this match so the experience wouldnt be that different from facing most other killers around that speed

@@edward222100I once had someone complain that I relied on drones with SM…like yeah? That’s my power? Without it I am an m1 killer. No stealth, no speed, no hinder, no tracking, no extra bp for using power. I bet if I was playing a different area denial/trap killer like Trapper they wouldn’t have complained. It’s like…survivors complain about Knight, SM, Singularity for having effective gen defense powers, so they beg for chase killers…cut to Xeno and Chucky and they complain about good chase powers. And now they enjoy Vecna because his power is so weak he is basically an m1 killer.

Hey Spooks if you wanna get started in voice qcting then start off by making q portfolio of different voices and experiment with your ranges, upload that portfolio to some VA sites a d spaces and just network with people and other VAs projects. Youve already got a big audience so it wouldnt be too hard to pivot into the space if you wanted
