personaly i think MiG 21S is great at 9.7 even without flares, a lot of people don't expect a headon with SARH missile from that thing and it's crazy fast. Mind you I already had a ton of experience flying MiG 21MF from the german tree but still, S got me through the entire russian tree in 6 days.

Holdup I might not be sure, but buying premium directly from the gaijin shop is cheaper than with GE. It's 40 buckles for a year, and I believe it's slightly more using GE but I could be wrong.

A full year is cheaper in game. The only issue is that you can't buy the exact amount of GE you'd need; the extra GE makes it cost more. If you intend to spend that GE anyway, this doesn't matter.

I’ve gotta disagree with the MiG-21 S not being good for air rb. Because of the matchmaker the R-3R’s at altitude can catch many planes without RWW off guard thinking they can flare them. I’ve had so many 4-5 kill games in the 21 s, but yeah no flares is a pain when an A-10 comes knocking :(

ok, the mig-21 R-13-300 doesn't have flares, BUT its fast and this is all you need in this br. the turn time is okey, yes its mig-21 so you can't expect amazing dodge fight performance, but when you fly this plane for some time you get use to it and you can dodge aim-9Ls and all this stuff. Just be fast, take 4x R-3R and enjoy the game.

4:20 i have to disagree , mig21s is a good jet for air rb , its radar and r3r on high and even mid altitude is good , i get every game 1 or 2 kills on head on with those , r3s are useless mostly ,even aim9b feels better but you got an impressive mig21 speed and turn abilities, if you are downtier facing 8.7 you pretty much play easy mode , you are the fastest and most deadly jet , a real competitor is maybe f104 but in turn fight you win over it . Also the best factor for me is quick ,fun matches with mig21s , gets high alt very fast and you can choose what enemies to boom zoom on , also the SL farming capacity is better than in f4s for example , 100k, 150k sl per game is a common with this thing. The minuses are meh missiles,but at 9.7 few planes have better one anyway , small soviet ammo capacity (200 rounds which gave fast) and lack of flares but if you don't lose speed and pay attention this is not a problem, just don't go head on with a10😅

Well you did what is very smart from ANY war thunder player You arent a Whale but rather a Wallet Warrior As a Veteran in War Thunder I have almost all Vehicles (Including Premium and event vehicles) of the USSR and Britain. over the years I've bought them as Discounts to save up on the long run that was very clever. However I saw people bust in over 50-200$/€ to buy they way to a specific vehicles that you would see in the first match of your day questioning how he got it when the update was live after 15 min. The 2S38 is good for many reasons,it has a Autocanon with VT that the Soviets never had for a long time,and its a Light tank Premium that also I was waiting for,well more or less. That is the Domestic Russian SPAA and not a Light tank,so technically you bought a SPAA Premium,you could have gotten the Zut-37 that is the SPAA Premium.

I failed to get: Harrier GR.1, AH-1S Kisarazu, Kfir Canard, A-6E TRAM, Su-39 and Leopard 2 (PzBtl 123) because either they were not on sale and on some occasion, the discounts I had did not work.

@@jojomaster7675 id argue its worse, r60 are fine and all but only 2 and i like r3r better so good thing it can carry 4 of them then its a choice between counter measures and guns, without guns you are heavily limited and at that br missiles arent that dangerouse, and the missile which are dangerous, they have shit slow platforms and so theyre easy to outplay, only noobs die to aim9ls from a10's, and r60m are even less dangerous. so yes guns are better if you dont suck. then its just the last thing the engine, which suck badly on the sps-k the whole reason for the mig 21s is the engine is better so with the sps-k you have same missiles, same guns, way worse engine. the mig21s is better.
