Man, old raging brachy really makes you realize how useful fade slash was in the old games

Was thinking that about IG too, most weapons could only dodge 3 ways and the backflip of IG was the only way to cancel some moves into moving backwards. IB/SB everyone has 4 direction rolls and Lance can cancel into guard hop any direction too which just completes the weapon for me in combination with power guard lol. A lot of stuff is less "relevant" in newer games as the reason they existed is gone but they're still fun to use.

The only reason raging dio was difficult due to his slime activating the moment you hit it blowing up in your face. Evasive sets are a godsend in this fight. Like nargas. Other sets…god have mercy on your soul!!

Newer players will never understand the unfathomable pain of farming Reactors in 4U where you didnt have Styles and Arts

Both CB and IG made it manageable, especially IG with mounting imo

@@adonicetrig8908 Yeah, Mounting in that game is nuts. Plus the glaive itself is a nukestick. Whenever I farm for reactors and such I always go for SnS. I am still jealous to those players who can headsnipe Raging Brachy and Stiggy Zin with GS lmao

@@trysthartzell7092 CB had a ridiculous combo in 4U that made big monsters feel small and IG was not only busted when it came to mounting, but also range, mobility, combos and speed. Fair to say, these two made farming Raging trivial.

It's weird, I don't remember what it was like in MH3U or MH4U because it was so long ago. After playing MHGU and World/Iceborne the longest out of every Monster Hunter game....I feel like I would get cooked if I went back lol.

When he does the delayed rings of explosions around himself, whichiver direction you were originally facing him will roughly have an opening for you to go in after the initial round of explosions, like how in Iceborne when you go in to attack after the first ring of Alatreon or Velkhana's elemental ring attacks.

Past a certain point palicoes are a hindrance as they cause the monster to run around, out of range and ruin your combos and countering

Or they hit you after you get out of a stun and get you killed : D. My luck for the little rat bastards is horrible.

@@Uno_Hunter Still playing 4U here, my least favorite Palicos are the Bombers, cause I can't tell you how many times I'd go in for the Kill only to be hit by one of their Bombs. Can't tell you how frustrating it is when they accidentally Felvine Bomb my Lead Palico and themselves in the of the fight!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Hi Uno, for me in MHGU, switch axe is better (vs MHR), just use silverwind nargacuga armor and striker style, then you are invincible! Nice video as always!

Nah this is much worse than world. You'd have no time to run from the Slime exploding when you hit its active spots. World at least lets it drop to the floor before exploding

Its 2 am so im watching it tomorrow. For now, I just think its very funny how youre scared of Fatalis, but choose to fight Raging instead. Granted, Fatalis lets you time out wicketly easy, if your not hyperagressive, but thats all there is to him.

@@Uno_Hunter bring a switch axe next time and spam his head with ZSD in World. The bullied will become the bully then : D. For MHGU just spam his chest, should do the trick. Repelling him is still a valid way to complete the quest, though less satisfying.

I know this video is old now, but if you are trying to mount monsters, specially with the LS, doing a jumping spirit slash does a whole lot more mounting damage then justa normal attack, enough to get a mount with 2 attempts sometikes

Yeah, this is not the weak ass version we had in Iceborne. I was disappointed at most of the returning monsters in World/IB other than Fatty because they were just so much easier and "streamlined" like much of the game.

I don't think having an extra phase, actual new moves, and a new theme counts as "streamlined". The reason why IB raging is easier is because of the hunters themselves and because he doesn't do insane damage anymore, not cause he was "streamlined"

Raging Brachydios is only hard the few first tries and after that he is just too easy. Edit: Btw Im talking about the old one.

Slime was nerf to hell in IB, RB is also slower, and the last phase is completely useless other being eye candy because of how easy it is to not get hit by the big pool of slime. Not saying that GU's RB is the end all hardest monster, but at least he's not a complete pushover. I stand by what I said about most returning monsters in IB was trash, like Narga and Teo, and the only one that was done better was Alatreon and Fatty. If you more fun with it, then good for you but this is my opinion.
