Therm, please take care of yourself. I hope you feel better. :( I recommend u remove the fleece since it's causing you to take double damage and makes your gameplay harder. Also, don't be too hard on yourself about the game since the projectile and combat in this game is a bit wonky, unfortunately. You will get past Anchordeep after some time! Here's some tips in case you need it: -Some enemies have icons above their heads (eg. bomb, fire projectile or poison) which tells you what additional effect they can cause. The fireball projectile is the most dangerous one so you should aim for them first to get rid of them quickly. -The dummy statues you always encounter in the very first room of each stage can be destroyed to get wood. Just hack away until they get destroyed -Even if you die in a stage, you will still gain items that you need (eg. resources and food) and only lose a small portion of resources you find in that run so don't be afraid of losing against new enemies or old stages -Anchordeep has a LOT of projectile enemies so you may or may not experience many losses. Raise your weapon levels and curses in the temple if you are having a difficult time -Repeat Darkwood or Anura if you need resources. It's a way i got to practise with different weapons and curses and learn enemy attack patterns quickly -For now, i recommend you do most of the farming yourself (harvesting and watering) and send your followers to worship/get resources so you can unlock more building recipes faster, especially to get the 2nd farm tier so you can finally leave farming to your followers -If you accept a follower's quest and fail to do it, you will get a higher faith penalty of -45 so it's best to either reject altogether or complete the quest

If you aren’t sure if the dummies are taking damage, cast a spell. They drop fervor when you hit them with melee, so you know you are doing something. This is also a way to make sure you have spell capacity before a fight. I’ve also found that failing a quest always causes that follower to dissent (this might not be true, but it seems like it), which can be a pain. If you aren’t sure you can complete it (for example, they ask for a meal you can’t cook) or crystals, just say no. If you are on a collection quest or another quest that the objective completes while crusading, the timer stops so you can complete the run without worry. More general (non Therm specific) tips Until you have level 3 sleep spots, always have an extra empty sleep spot or two before you crusade. If someone’s bed breaks overnight, they will immediately go to a different, unclaimed bed and you won’t get the faith penalty of not enough beds. When you are upgrading sleep spots, have extra empty spots equal to the number you are upgrading at one time open (as an upgrading sleep spot is equal to no sleep spot, and followers will get cranky. Also make sure to move followers back to the upgraded shelters after. Don’t put followers with moon amulets into tier 3 sleep spots, as they do not generate the little bit of faith overnight. The doctrine that makes the most difference on how difficult or easy the game will end up being is revival vs funeral. Revival is easy, funeral is hard because with revival you can just keep bringing back high level followers who then have their lives and youthfulness extended. A follower dying after eating a deadly meal is considered a natural death, and outside of followers who have fear of death traits, you will not receive a penalty for a follower dying this way. This means that if you have the good die young trait and try to off an elder with a deadly meal, it will cause a penalty. This is also a fairly quick way to make sure none of your elderly followers die and cause sickness while you are crusading. If you butcher a corpse, you cannot perform a funeral, but you can revive them. There are a few ways a follower can die so that you cannot revive them. - Exchanging their life for yours when you die during a crusade with the perk unlocked. - “donating” them to Midas’ collection Be careful when butchering at night, as spiders will try to take the follower’s necklace and run away. Don’t upgrade lumberyards and stone mines to tier 2. It’s really not worth it, as they still break. Especially lumber yards since they take crystals. Upgrade outhouses instead. Planting and harvesting seeds does result in a net loss of seeds

I got really into cult of the lamb in-between your uploads and here is what I learned: If you break the campfires in the dungeons you will get meat, the blue fleece is amazing health wise, fishing and farming are so helpful when it come to making meals that drop resources, you will need a lot of crystals in the future for stuff, so get them in Anchorsdeep, you can pet the dog follower form, you will HATE the last bishop, upgrade the afterlife doctrine that way you can get funerals and the graves will then be able to create devotion, and that there are so many freaking CUTE follower forms, especially from anchorsdeep.

I highly recommend going down a difficulty level (they can be changed in settings), going back to your regular fleece (the golden one is only really good if you’re a gaming god) and getting the omnipresent crown skill, which means that if you don’t like the weapon the game gives you then you can teleport back to camp and try again, without losing any faith. Also, make sure to take care of yourself Therm, panic attacks are rough, and your health is more important than any game, I hope you feel better soon.

Also just a tip when you leave on a crusade and fail always, Always tend to your cult Before going out in a new crusade! The babies don't like it when you fail so you gotta do some house keeping first. Make sure faith is at the highest Before going out on a new crusade! Also when you go to a new area always destroy things in each room there are new building materials you will need for upgrades, and it has the added bonus of slowing you down and taking a breath. It helps when you are feeling overwhelmed, at least it helps me! Hope this helps a bit and no worries I am really loving your videos and I hope you will have more fun experiences in the future! lol

when you're in an area just start breaking everything, posts, beds, tents, etc. they all give some kind of resource, it'll be mostly grass but there is a good chance of getting wood/stone too also, if you need to you can lower the difficulty of combat in the settings. that's what I had to do immediately. I hope you're feeling better!! Here are some tips for the game: - You are not actually locked into an attack with the hammer. If you see something attacking you, you can dodge out of the way and cancel your attack. Bait out the enemy into attacking, dodge, and then swing. When I first got the Hammer, I hated it, but now it's one of my favorite weapons - When you fail your crusade your followers lose faith, that's why your faith had dropped so low - You can gain some faith from helping your followers construct buildings or using the inspire dance if you have it unlocked - A bit morbid, but if you eat minced follower meat, you gain two diseased hearts instead of one spirit heart lol - try unlocking the purple fleece. It gives you one diseased heart every time you pick up a tarot card as long as you don't already have one. You'll lose all materials if you die tho - unlock the demon summoning circle. at tier three you can bring three followers. One of the demons collects hearts for you. Bringing your followers doesn't harm them, they're just tired after they come back :) Also the higher their level, the better their demon form! - don't forget to break the bones you see thrown around in the rooms so you can keep doing rituals (also the crystals in anchordeep, they are the special material for that area) - there is an upgrade for the stone and lumbermill but those ALSO eventually break - when you see a broken bed and you have the materials to upgrade it, don't repair it, upgrade it straight away I hope some of this helps you make future runs a little less stressful

Another tip: since you've started Anchordeep, a new table has appeared in Clauneck's tarot sections. You can pay extra to have an additional tarot card along with the regular draw you would normally have. Once you've used it, it recharges over time; if you're on a particularly long run, you might be able to pay more than once.

I have almost finished the game, so here are some tips: You have to keep upgrading your weapons to be able to progress through the other areas. Keep doing sermons and rituals to level them up. You boost your damage a lot when you level up. Keep doing easier dungeon runs until you are strong enough to progress. Faith declines over time, and it is usually really low after a dungeon run. You can raise it by doing the lil dance with your followers, as well as sermons and rituals. Also, put dissenters in jail immediatly. The quickest way to gather food and resources is to do a dungeon run. Prioritize resource areas when you choose your dungeon path. You should double the size of your farm area before receuiting more followers.

I haven't seen anyone else comment this so: you can get lumber from the little training dummies at the starting room of every crusade, each dummy takes a few hits with a high level dagger and drops about two or three lumber! I fixed my resources problem with that trick so I got at least 10-15 lumber per crusade plus the lumber I would collect in the rooms

Hey, I hope you're doing better. I went through a similar thing, I died four times in Darkwood and it totally messed with my head. What I found helpful was you can change the difficulty at any time during your play through. I dropped it back down to easy and it really helped. Also you were right, every time you die it drops your cult's faith by half. I hope this stuff helps you a bit in your next play through, still really loving the content

Dying causes your faith to drop. So if you die, make sure you do a sermon before going on a campaign again. You can also talk to each of your followers once a day and that increases their faith. If you're asked to perform a ritual that decreases faith, do that ritual first before doing a sermon and a bonfire so your faith goes down first then up and up through the sermon and bonfire ritual. And change your fleece back to the original one! Also when you go on campaigns, collect resources! You can go back into the easier level as many times as you want

I used the demon summoning circle to carry me through tough fights a lot. Plus the level of the follower that goes into the circle gives you a stronger demon. I’d usually go with Hather that goes away then comes back with hearts or blue hearts and the one that automatically picks up ferver from enemies. If I didn’t have any followers that could summon that one I’d take the one that goes and hits enemies for you. If you can resurrect followers you could just bring back the high level faith followers that have the demons you need

A tip to get passed of anchor deep is to get a weapon that has good strength and speed. Use that for the first part of the journey and then for the second part, get a weapon that has more strength and less speed. You will be able to beat the boss in a couple hits! Hope this helps

A dying follower can make followers lose faith, a sick follower can too. Those + your death + not eating enough food = loooow faith. You cleaned up okay but a follower left out long enough after dying will be a rotting corpse and it will get worse.

!No Spoilers! In my 20 hours of the game (most the first two weeks I bought it) I've picked up some advice as a person that is atrocious at fighting. 1) with the first curse you picked up, I found it's extremely helpful if I roll into the middle of enemies, use a circle curse, and get the heck out with a dodge. 2) I'm not sure when I gained the ability, but buy an extra card from Clauneck! You can offer 20-60 coins to his shrine to the left of where he sits to get an extra card. 3) sword and dagger are your best friends. 4) switch fleece! The purple fleece has been tremendous in my endeavors, and it's not a burden if you "pray" when the icon appears on your map. 5) use drugs to lock your faith later down the line! It really helps. 5.5) use your levelling up to upgrade your weapon grades instead of curses! 6) please don't stress out over the final fight like I have. I still haven't beaten it but I'm taking time to give the game a breather. Love you! Keep it up! (sorry for the long post)

Hello, Therm! To aid you in your crusades, be sure to utilize the Demon Summoning Circle. Your followers can be turned into 1 of 6 different types of demons, joining you on your venturing. Follower level coincides with the level of demon power. DESTROY! EVERYTHING! More chances of gaining random resources and hearts. Cards are key to success, so be sure to spend the coin at the tarot readers room while crusading. You are doing a fine job, Sir. Keep up the good work. (If you are lucky enough to have a hammer with a the 2x attack speed card, it is beautifully OP, even without the Golden Fleece)

Yeah, pretty sure every time you lose at crucading your followers lose faith in you, also I recommend changing the fleece if it's too hard, at this point your followers will leave you if you'll keep dying

You can help villagers build things and it'll increase the faith bar by 7 which isn't a lot but it helps especially when building a lot of decor which also raises by 7 if you have the decree that makes them worship false idols, anytime my rituals are unable to completely fill I just top off that way very easy

Please don't push yourself to hard! This game has a lot of issues with the combat (even if they fixed the bugs like invisible unkillable enemies that could literally break your run) and it's not worth it to hurt yourself over it! My fix for the game was to farm easier floors until I unlocked the hammers, reset the floors until I got it and used the fleece that gives you double blue-hearts for every read heart you have, eating a meal before going to combat to maximise it (healing is also really unbalanced). If hammers are too slow, waiting for axe works, too, since hammer requires you to get really good at kiting. And a trick for faith is to help build cheap decorations, since it gives you little bit. And yes, dying in dungeon looses faith, having a dissenter does it, too.

Honestly, I think the Golden Fleece + Hammer combo is the strongest pairing in the game, it makes your damage go through the roof, but you need to be very precise with your movement in order to circumvent their drawbacks. Basically, they're the git gud equipment.

There's defenitely a point in this game where the managing gets insanely stressful for like absolutely no reason but trust me it will stabilize (: Also you will get the hang of the combat eventualy dw you can get used to the hammer but it does suck major ass at the start I believe in you :D

There’s no harm in taking a step back in times of panic. If you can’t remember how to do something, look up a tutorial to jog your memory. Also it looks like you can go to previous areas so it might be a good idea to do a few runs in order to grind for materials.

Man, I hope you're feeling okay now, panic attacks suck. But also yeah, the hammer sucks huge ass. I'm sure it's a great weapon when you figure out what to do with it but you can't move while loading up for an attack so you always keep getting hit. Worst of all, at least in after unlocking Anchordeep, the game seems to *heavily* bias towards giving you the hammer at the beginning of runs, to the point where most of my latest runs have started with a hammer and left me praying for literally any other kind of weapon. It's honestly getting pretty damn annoying, and I wish there were a way I could tell the game to stop giving me hammers, I am SO tired of hammers.

Use the demon summoning circles. Don't use the yellow fleece if you're not super great at the game. Use curses if you have fervor.

Hold down the Y button at night to meditate and speed up the flow of time Also .The Lamb has a Holler Button that makes him bleat on command (the B key on PC, R3 on consoles). Just to let you try it out
