Seriously? Perhaps it’s knowing what the difference between a joke and abuse guised as a joke are, but the look on her face is clear, it was not funny to her anymore. How many time have they called her stupid before this? I don’t know, but what I know unequivocally is that if I reacted like this to my daughter I would be humiliated for her to put it up online. I’m not worried because I don’t treat my daughter this way, but clearly there are quite a few people who are either blessed enough to not know what it looks like, or they are abusers themselves and supporting jokes at the expense of others allows that type of humor to stick around. It’s a lot like corruption, if you are corrupt, you can’t actually fight corruption, because you need it for your own success, so it would be counterintuitive to eliminate what works for you. Happened to my dads car too. My dad realized before he started rhe engen, so he put down the hand breaks and pushed it over to the side, then drained the tank. Nit sure if they added an engen cleaning substance after, and then filled up again.

​@@dudelikeseriously8418 putting gasoline in a diesel engine would be more destructive then diesel in a gasoline engine. You still have to clean it but it probably won't destroy the engine. That's because a gasoline engine ignites the fuel gas mixture with a spark plug and it will either not ignite or ignite, and in the unlikely case that the diesel ignites it would still be in the right moment. So cleaning the engine and everything would be enough in the most cases. But gasoline in a diesel engine would destroy the engine becouse a diesel engine is a self ignition that works with compression and gasoline ignites at lower temperatures so it would ignite at the wrong point and destroy the engine or at least damage it.

My brother managed to put gas in a diesel car. When he came back after paying and told me he put the wrong one in the Diesel car, I told him to not start the car at all. I had just gotten my driver's licence and I knew that if the diesel engine would take in the gas it would be broken immediately. And that the gas would have to be pumped out of the tank before starting the car again. My brother did NOT listen to his annoying little sister (he was 20, u was 17/18) and wanted to go home first before deciding to do anything. What happened? The car stopped not even a mile away from the gas station in the middle of a big intersection. It had to be towed and the filter renewed, but the engine survived. It cost my brother about 500 bucks for not listening to his little sister 😂👍

I worked as a mechanic at a car rental place and foreigners would often put diesel in the cars by mistake. This was made possible by the fact that certain models of Nissans didn't have the narrower fill spout for some reason. It would require us to drain the fuel tank, replace it with gasoline and then try to get it to start. Sometimes that required a can of starting fluid. At worst it would ruin the catalytic converter, at best we didn't have to replace anything. Not once did I see it ruin an entire engine.

@firstlast9916 All of my vehicles in the past 7 years or so have been former rental cars. I think the reason for the catalytic converts failing was due to the use of the starting fluid to get it started. Too much unburnt fuel going through the system, and they overheated. If I had to do it again, I would probably try to avoid or reduce the use of the starting fluid. When I say it happened often, I meant over the course of the whole time I was there. In reality, I maybe seen it happen a dozen times. I would take a rental car over a former lease car. Rental cars, for the most part, are properly maintenanced and fixed of serious problems because most rental car customers are business people at airports who won't accept driving a broken pile of junk.

Red is diesel for off-road use (construction/farm equipment etc.). It isn't taxed like regular diesel, so it is cheaper. It's a big ticket if you are caught driving on the roads with it.

5 years ago my then girlfriend's 19 year old daughter took my GFs Honda Odyssey Van with 4 other friends, all of them teens who had driver's licenses for at least a couple of years, on a weekend day trip. The only condition was that she brought it back With the gas they used replaced. That would have been about 6 gallons. But when they stopped to get the gas none of dummies knew which if the 4 choices to put in. So they put in the cheapest which at the time was, you guessed it, the Christmas blend. Then drove about another 8 miles home with a car soon starting the sputter and shake. It cost my GF some $250 to have the fule system flushed. Fortunately it appeared there was no lasting damage. What I found astounding was that between the 5 of those kids nobody no not to put diesel in the car.
